I have a plan for a new tax!

You call telling people the truth and holding them responsible for their actions threats? Why do you think we should hide the truth that the gun you are buying is most likely going to be used to kill yourself if it is ever used at all? That alone could save 1000's of lives.

why did you post so dishonestly? I clearly wrote that the information should be made available :doh

And I added that it should be taught in schools.

So you just posted a big, unwarranted, dishonest post with nothing new to debate.

Btw, the law already holds those people responsible, where possible.

How could the risk of suicide go up if a gun is present if they did not cause more suicides?

The researchers found having access to a gun was tied to a three-fold increase in the likelihood that people would kill themselves.

So it is your contention that if a gun was not available, these people would not have committed suicide?

I don't think you know anything about suicide and why people do that.

Use your head for a change. Why would a persons risk of suicide triple if a gun was available? How many teens steal their parents gun to kill ?themselves with?

How many children in the U.S. live in a house with a gun?
About one-third of all households have a gun, and a study published this month in the Journal of Urban Health estimates that as many as 4.6 million children live in a home where at least one gun is kept loaded and unlocked.

they haven't seen crime go down since they started their bannerrhoid actions either

Between 2008 and 2016 in the EU:

Car thefts down 36% (2008-2016)
Robberies down 24% (2008-2016)
Overall, homicides are in a downward trend
Home burglaries down 10% (2012-2016)

While violent/sexual assaults have gone up recently, most crime in the EU has gone down, so I'd like to know where you are getting your sources.

He also did not answer how any, what any gun laws or controls would stop suicide by gun, when asked directly.

This is not simply just about one occurrence it is about the whole gun control / gun debate issue. Here we ago again is what I say every single time a shooting occurs. The issue that gets talked about but never solved.

No doubt a person loaded, chambered a round, aimed it and pulled the trigger. However if the firearm wasn't present could they have "shot" someone??

If a person is killed in this way what would the death certificate state the cause of death was? A distinction must be drawn between an act with a firearm and without one, they are very different.

No, they're really not. And why the distinction needing to be drawn?

The only common factor in people killing people is people. The method is either careful planning i.e. box cutters, pressure cooker bombs, deliberate use of firearms, among others, or convenience. Whatever's handy.
