In addition to those, one of the other more probable lies, testified to under penalty of felony, was asserted by her old boyfriend of six years that said she HAD, contrary to her statements under oath, assisted/coached a lifetime friend, who became a FBI agent, to pass the polygraph.

By the time of the confirmation vote Democrats and prominent legal minds across the country were calling for Kavanaugh's "rejection" because of his sophomoric and unprofessional, angry, partisan testimony. Which had nothing to do with the sexual alligations. Sherrod Brown isn't going to "go". Unless he's "proven guilty"; or doesn't that matter anymore?

This type of partisan tit for tat is unseemly in any case, but it is especially ineffective when it comes from the side that "won" previously. Really, it should be you who is defending Sherrod Brown, not preemptively bringing it up against the liberals. In terms of highlighting hypocrisy and selective morality, I think this is a backfire....

In any event, given that this accusation is completely anonymous and has no detail as to time and place, it is far less credible than any of the Kavanaugh accusations. I don't know how you can say the accuser is "a professional and very credible" -- those words literally come straight from the alleged accuser's lawyer.

All in all, I'd say this is a fail of a thread, and I don't even believe in "believe her."

Absolutely not. I'm a Democrat, I was NOT against Kavanaugh before he first testified. I thought he would be "Gorsuch'd through and that would be it; elections have consequences. After hearing his first testimony, before anything was known about Ford, I thought he was a slippery, evasive SOB and started to actively oppose him. Once the Ford thing went public I was interested but willing to hear both sides out. I still didn't like the SOB, because of his initial testimony, and leaned to believing Ford. Once he testified on "Ford Day" it didn't matter to me what came of the Ford accusations, his angry, unprofessional blubbering partisan tirade showed conclusively that he was unfit to judge a match on a tennis court, much less hold a position on a judicial court bench, especially NOT the Supreme Court.

The ABA agreed, so did thousands of law professors, Ford was a mute point. I think his appointment damages and diminishes the Supreme Court ... unquestionably.
