Facebook has removed a video posted on Louis Farrakhan’s account that compared Jews to termites.

In the video, Farrakhan responds to critics who call him an anti-Semite by explaining that he, instead, is “anti-termite.”

“So when they talk about Farrakhan, call me a hater, call me anti-Semite. Stop it. I’m anti-Termite. I don’t know nothing about hating somebody because of their religious preference,” Farrakhan said on the video.

Where is the condemnation from Keith Ellison, Barack Obama, or Bill Clinton?

"UTOPIA HERE WE COME!"

We gotta have everyone talking RIGHT so that we can get everyone thinking RIGHT!

Our betters will decide what is "RIGHT!".

Alarmingly only slightly tangential:

Paglia
I am astonished after the victory of the pro-sex wing that we’re back to feminist puritanism again of the Andrea Dworkin kind, we’re talking about mental imbalance. We’re talking about hysteria that has nothing whatever to do with women’s rights. These are neurotics who are talking about hatred of men, who are poisoning the culture, making it more difficult for young women to reconcile with young men.

"THE NEW DARK AGE, HERE WE ARE!"

It was a disgusting comment.

Period

Lol. Breitbart...

"Jews will not replace us" was only chanted by fine people.

Breitbart is not the name that matters here.

Paglia is the one that does.

Better luck next time!

I'm failing to see what she has to do with it. Farrakhan made remarks about Jews which were wrong - look everybody, a feminist!

I was making a higher order thinking point but I lack the desire to explain it to you.

Killing the messenger never brings better luck. ;)

Paglia is a self-described "dissident feminist" and also forthright, thoughtful, and reasonable. Although she is herself pro-choice, for example, she has argued that feminism is a big enough tent to include feminists who are pro-life. She herself is gay but doesn't have issues with heterosexuality. And she has written some great stuff on the strength and courage of pioneer women.

But never mind all that--Brietbart! Never mind that the site is quoting from Paglia's interview with Tucker Carlson, which I saw. I strongly disagreed with her on many topics for decades but began warming up in 2008 and thought what she had to say to Carlson was refreshing.

She is something else but the "I cant believe that we are back to this" which for me at least has the addendum "I sure thought that we would be better than this over my lifetime" I sure groove with....to include here in this thread with Big Brother deciding what can and can not be said.

I agree with her too. Need to read up at Salon, etc. over the weekend to see if Paglia has commented on the new segregation too.

I dont want divert this thread and I am really tired so my brain is foggy but I gotta say read this if you have not...Paglia is in top form in 2005:

Bookslut | An Interview with Camille Paglia

I listened to her some over the years....I should have been listening more closely.

A Taste:
Yes, I want poets to engage with people outside their own circles. Stop preaching to the choir all the time. You should start thinking about addressing the mass of the country that’s voting the opposite. That’s your audience, too. And until you get that breadth of imagination, to try to put things in terms that are understandable to those who don’t agree with you, not just those who agree with you, you’re lost.

Personally, I cannot muster up much outrage at Minister Farrakhan.

His controversial comments aside, I think that he should be commended for urging his supporters to work hard, dress neatly, and stay out of trouble.

Looks like you have only demonstrated your FAILED EASTERN TRAINING. It's pretty sad your comments USED TO BE BETTER. Now they aren't.

Well this IS you so...

All you need to do is give Farrakhan a pulled pork sandwich and he will settle down.

It is the end of the week. It is fair you are getting tired of splaining things lucy.

Yeah well, that's you.

Every time I hear his name I’m surprised he is still alive. He is too irrelevant to merit any attention IMO.

I can understand you asking about Keith Ellison but the other two have nothing to do with Malcolm X's assassin...err..Farrakhan.
A single "photo op" standing NEXT to Obama does not qualify.

Clinton shared the stage with him last month at Franklin's funeral!

Define "shared" the stage.

Oh wait!!! He was within FORTY FEET OF HIM, why yes, you're right.
Or...you're full of bull****.
