That's because of the special interest groups lobbying through the Chamber of Commerce that seem to have countless money to fill the coffers of those who will vote in their favor.

Actually Veritas if the left fails to at least take the House I do think the adults in the party are going to attempt to reign in the insanity and expect to see the left move back more to the center.But it could result in a complete split in the Democratic party.

Where do you believe all of these ruthless people live? Are they in special areas? Not your neighborhood?

It already has split the Dems ... three ways, about evenly.

About a third has gone to the GOP.

Another third has gone independent and is looking to create a new party.

The remaining people in the Democratic Party aren't the brightest or most productive/wealthy of the Dems in 2006.



As I said, not the brightest. The most tone-deaf, voter-base-at-risk Alienating speech ever given!

If you want to win elections, and 56% of the voters are suffering badly from the economics and blatant, officially sanctioned racial discrimination of the last adminstration, the last thing you want to do is tell their racial demographic group to "Shut Up and Listen!"

When the poltical pendulum swings, and that won't be happening in 2018, it will be people leaving the GOP for the new party, or going Independent.

I rather doubt that it'll result in the split of the Democrat party. They seem to be continuing to unify in a mad dash ever further to the hard left and extremist left.

Should this not be averted, should these hard left extremists gain political control of the nation, I suspect it rather likely that the US will end up like Venezuela, at their hands, as least for a time.

Hmm. Yeah.

Fair enough if there's a workforce needed. Right now there are 7 million jobs going unfilled (yeah, but you never find out what types of jobs those are - do you?)

But that means a guest worker program, properly administered, and efficient in implementation. A rather tall order for the US federal government to accomplish, don't you think? I mean, they've not established a track record of achieving such.

I personally think you're overlooking the main reason Trump won, Hillary Clinton. I provided details on that in many a post since the election. I firmly believe almost any other Democrat, alive or dead would have trounced Trump.

I also think with all the indicators that the Democrats will win the house, they will pick up around 35 seats. Say, between 30-40 with more a possibility. The Democrats need 23 to regain control. In the senate, the Republicans will probably pick up North Dakota. They should hang onto Tennessee and Texas, although both races are extremely close at this time. The Republicans also have a shot at picking up Florida, Indiana and Missouri, all three pure tossups. But my money would be on the Democratic incumbents. The Democrats have an 50-50 chance of picking up Nevada and Arizona. I do think when one wakes up the day after the election, the Republicans will have between 50-53 seats.

As for 2020, it all depends on whom the democrats run and if Trump decides to seek reelection. All unknown factors that outside of speculation, no one has a clue.
