If the quoted numbers are true, it’d only be evidence of inconsistency between the number of names on the voter registration and the number of legitimate voters estimated based on census data. It doesn’t say anything as to why there is that inconsistency and it’s probably a whole range of things – people who have died or moved are commonly not removed from voter registration for example.
The entire voter registration system in the US clearly needs a major overhaul and as it stands it does open doors for some fraudulent voting but it’s a much wider and deeper issue than most of the people making noise about it would like to admit. Put simply, it isn’t all about immigrants and it won’t be magically solved with voter ID.
Heck, here in Ga they started purging the voter rolls, and just like that liberals started yelling racist, racist. But it’s the law, the voter rolls have to be cleaned up every few years!
