Using his trademark whit to slam his critics, President Trump praised American patriot Neil Armstrong, saying "there was no kneeling" when he planted the US flag on the face of the moon.

Trump made the comments during an Ohio rally on Friday when he proudly reminded the crowd that the astronaut grew up there.

“He’s the man that planted the flag on the face of the moon,” Trump said.

“There was no kneeling, there was no nothing, there was no games, boom.”

Seeing as how MLK was assasinated just a year prior, maybe there should have been.

That’s ironic given how you tell a blatant lie in the very sentence before this one. The film doesn’t depict the planting of the US flag but it does depict the US flag in place on the Moon. By all accounts, the movie is more about the people involved than the events themselves and the controversy is just being spun up by politicos and ignorant reactionaries.
