I agree that as political ads go, this is one of the better ones. And it is probably sufficient to encourage Democrat votes but not so much Republican votes. Democrats seem to lean toward identity politics. Republicans are generally--not always but generally--more policy and effectiveness oriented.
Just having a resume' is not sufficient to get my vote.
Looking adorable and being a pleasant person or politically correct is not sufficient to get my vote.
And being a woman is certainly not sufficient to get my vote.
I want to know what these women believe, what they stand for, what they really will and will not support not just with lip service but with your congressional vote, and you better be able to convince me you really mean it. I am sick to death of a proper, poll tested, scripted, groomed, and polished permanent political class that says whatever is necessary to get elected, and then promptly puts that all on the shelf and pretty much forgets about it once safely in office.
The ad provides nothing of what I want to know about these candidates before I would support them for elected office. But as these ads go, it is a good ad.
It's a good ad as far as production value and strong performances from the women, who all seem terrific.
But when the ad ended, I didn't know what party they were with. I assumed Dem because of the "vote for me I have a vagina" thing, but then it's heavily referencing the military, and I don't link the Dems with making our military a top priority.
So, I thought maybe they're Republicans.
Great these women are running in a few different states. Have no clue what they believe, stand for and how they lean politically.
