So for the past couple of years Rand Paul has gone from a libertarian-lite anti-partisan conservative to a hyper partisan Trumpster. But this time he has really stuck his foot in his mouth:

Yesterday, referring to the toxic political climate, Paul stated, 'I really worry that someone is going to be killed.’ Apparently, Paul forgot someone was already killed. Her name is Heather Heyer. Of course, no need to bring her up. She wasn’t on his ‘team.’

You really want to go there and attack a man who's had his ribs broken, pneumonia, pulmonary scarring, his life threatening, his family's life threatened including a man arrested who promised to chop them up and now his wife sleeps with a loaded gun by her bed?
Really?

How's your comfort level on a daily basis?

Further, Paul is absolutely right in his message. Perhaps he needs to amend it and say "more" people will die. But what he's saying is true.

Trying to undermine his message with some kind of "gotcha" is cheap.

This is a guy who was shot at and also attacked by a leftist who broke bones. I doubt he has any regrets, or foot in mouth, regarding that statement.

Heather Heyer's death was also before the current political climate of leftist violence, Cuck Norris kicking a pro-life woman, cars with pro-trump bumper stickers getting torched, Hillary Clinton calling for incivility, Eric Holder calling for kicking, etc...

He is also not only concerned with violence against his side, but all violence. Hence his statement after Charlotteville:
“Our prayers go out for those who tragically lost their lives in Charlottesville,” Paul said in a statement. “Going forward, we must say to those who preach hatred – your time is over. This is not who we are, and we will not stand by while you divide us.”

And the guy that committed the crime was prosecuted.

Heather Heyer's Alleged Killer Indicted for First-Degree Murder

Rand Paul may have been rattled a little after being attacked with a crazed democrat with an sks on a baseball field and suffered cracked bones by another one while mowing his lawn.

So because he was attacked we can never question him again?
Really?

Btw, I spoke out against some on the left who joked about his assault. That still doesn’t make him ‘right’ in this situation.

You hyper partisans are hilarious.

You hyper partisans are hilarious.

Baseless dismissive personal attack, demonstrating an inability to address what is quoted. How am I a hyper partisan, let alone even a partisan? I was just stating an argument AGAINST violence AGAINST both sides. Do you even know what the term means? Obvious projection is obvious.

Spoken like a true NPC when faced with evidence that disproves your terrible argument.

Typical.

Typical.

What is there to address? You make a typical hyper partisan argument that singles out those on the ‘enemy’ side while ignoring the same exact violations on your team’s side. It is tired and pathetic.

When have I done that? Quote me you liar. I explicitly quoted his condemning violence on all sides. As was his concern for future violence, he isn't just concerned with one side. You have blinders on.

Also, what side am I on? Considering that I have always voted DNC? This ought to be good.

You did it in the previous quote. Your grievances against the left can be applied to the right. You are on the side of the Trump Party, clearly.

Shows there are more legs on this op than you are showing. The chair cannot stand on two legs.

What are you going on about? Paul made a faux pas. That is it to the thread.

Paul condemned the Charottesville tragedy. Where have you been?

Hey, but Holder did say, "when they go low, kick 'em."

You may wish it were so but there is more to the story than was initially implied or presented.

There are quite a few democrat leaders encouraging violence these days and it shows in the assault increases.

I did not misquote him.

All there is to the thread is you throwing around the word "Hyper partisan" to people it doesn't belong to, even at Rand Paul, all the while hypocritically calling people who disagree with you "Trumpsters"

You did it in the previous quote. Your grievances against the left can be applied to the right. You are on the side of the Trump Party, clearly.

No I didn't, nothing in that post says what you claim it does, which is why you cannot quote it. In fact in condemning all political violence it does the opposite. Fail.

I am actually a registered Democrat, reality disagrees with your obvious partisan projections.

I did not misquote him.

Yes but the spin on this was a moving target to those not familiar with history or generally not informed on the issue at hand.

Thank you for condemning all political violence. It was clear.

Rand Paul clarified his opinion that the violence committed on him was politically motivated.

All sides would be served to condemn this behavior.

After the Kavanaugh affair, you guys don't get to pretend to be offended over anything related to morality. Well, ok, you can do it according to the rules but whenever you do it, people will just think "oh look, more lying hypocrisy".

Most of what you mention was a fight with a neighbor over landscaping, right?

The rest sounds like drama for effect

Hey, but Holder did say, "when they go low, kick 'em."

Just about everybody condemned it. The problem being addressed in the op is Paul’s selective hyper partisan memory.
