Mitch McConnell Sets Friday Vote to Thwart Filibuster of Brett Kavanaugh

It was and has been a sham investigation. Not what Flake asked for nor what he expected. Same for Collins and Murkowski. Boils down now to whether the three of them just decide to weasel out and accept these findings based on an entirely WH controlled and managed investigation. Welcome to Trumpistan.

Is the FBI for or against Trump? I can't ever remember because it seems people change their claims on this one a lot.

Maybe that idiot Dingy Harry shouldn't have change the rule. It's the left's own damn fault. They just gotta deal with it and quit their incessant whining about it. Leftists are never happy.

Dingy was warned too. That stupido.
We didn't change the rules for the SC, McConnell did that. Of course, you're a conservative so you probably didn't know that.

The GOP threatened to go nuclear all throughout Bush's presidency, so they were already on their way to do it eventually. What further supports that theory is the chicanery and dirty politics the GOP used to hold any and all SC vacancies under Obama, once they controlled the Senate.

Republicans warned Reid not to do it because one day they would be in control... but he didn't listen and now democrats are going to suffer for that decision.

.
The Republicans would have done it themselves had Reid not done it.

It alright. One day Democrats will have control again and the GOP will be in for some serious payback for these stunts.

A federal bench is a federal bench.

A federal bench is a federal bench.
That's not the point.

If it was so horrible, so dangerous, and such a threat to the Senate when Reid did it, why are McConnell and the Republicans doing it ten times worse?

We haven't even begun to address all of the other horrible precedents and rule breaking Republicans are practicing right now.

We as a people dont really care much about things like rules and fairness and civility and honesty and having things work well.

That kind of idiocy gets charged Biggly.

That may happen much sooner than some believe. The House will go Dem, and the Senate is in question. Thus the rush to confirm Hold Her Down Kavanaugh. Some Republicans are not going to like Nov.:lamo

Up to over a thousand law profs we get told have signed the letter.

Not the right temperament we get told, Kavanaugh is now fully a Rebellion nominee.

A sham investigation????
You would not have said that if it had gone your way... who the heck are you trying to kid?

The far kooker left got their way. They got their investigation, and they bitched about it. They are never satisfied, never happy, and it is always something with those people.

And now it appears all the false accusations, all the delaying, all the slimy sham tactics aimed directly at Kav and his wife and kids, failed miserably. And it is now once again we witness the slimy leftists for what they truly are.

I've never witnessed anything like this in my life. What will these evil scoundrels try to do next?

It won't only be the media. I said, and still believe they have a few more women stashed in the attic, awaiting to tell the public their sad stories.
Should we start passing the tissues? Que the violins...

I really liked Swetnick's story about Kavanaugh being involved in weekly gang rapes and, after her first encounter, she kept on going back for more and more. It doesn't get any juicer than that. Who needs a porn video? On second thought, this could very well be made into a great porn video at some point, probably with far better actors than Swetnick.

Ummmmmmmmmmm. Flake read the results and said he was satisfied and is voting for Kavanaugh. Susan Collins called it a thorough investigation and she was satisfied. Of course the partisan Democrats will never be satisfied. I mean the FBI purposely didn't interview any of the others in Kavanaugh's kindergarten class. Seriously though, you are the one who brought up Flake and Flake is satisfied with the investigation. No one really cares how many beers Kavanaugh drank in high school or college or that he forcefully defended himself from sham accusations. The whole process was a sham in the first place because Democrats never had any intention of voting for Kavanaugh. This was just a partisan side show because they knew they couldn't defeat the nomination without false accusations and, just before the vote, low and behold, Feinstein says, "Oh, I forgot all about this letter in my back pocket that I got two months ago".

I love the Republican double talk.

When we used the nuclear option it was the most horrific thing, the most dangerous threat to America, and blah blah blah.

Now? They use it as their first and only option.

So, how do you feel about Harry Reid? Wasn't he a visionary?

That was not what Flake agreed to. Take a look at Kav. Thats rich.

It will simply be an issue of whether or how Flake, Collins and Murkowski play this.
- Murkowski has more than a few issues on her plate that will make it hard to vote yes
- Collins has been played regularly by her own caucus. So its hard to tell where she will go with this sham. Her constituents might have had enough of seeing her played like a violin
- Flake has no political future at all if he just allows himself to be bent over the desk with sand included. He and Murkowski might be the most reliable No's

Things might look a little better for Kavanaugh being rejected if Chuck Schumer were not an utter complete waste of time. He has no ability to hold his caucus together and you can't even trust him not to stab his own in the back and make no effort to keep his caucus together. All it will take is McConnell cutting his next of an endless string of deals with Schumer and Chucky will crumble and stab his own caucus in the back. The very first thing the dems should do as soon as they have a chance is get rid of Chuck Schumer. Mitch McConnell will be erecting statues to Schumer at the end of their respective careers.

Flake is voting yes. He's not complaining, only the partisan Democrats.

While Reed was wrong, SC Justices are neither Federal District Judges nor Federal Appellate Court Judges. McConnell owns this change for SC Justices entirely. Can't blame it Harry.

LOL. And what do you think ole Harry would have done in a similar situation? Now answer honestly. Can't, can you?

2010 saw a red tsunami. Democrats are predicting a wave. Most likely it will be a small wave. House may be gone. Senate still red.

I know I can't prove it, but is it just coincidence that Avenatti seems to attract women like this?
At any rate, we won't have to deal with Avenatti going up against Trump in 2020.
Can you imagine what Trump would do to that little pissant?

I didn't want either side to use it.

McConnell is actually given no credit by the left at all. Trump and others have put a lot of pressure on him to go nuclear with virtually everything and McConnell has refused. I mean Obamacare could have been eliminated and a Republican plan put in place if McConnell had allowed it.

It's also quite hilarious that the left have embraced him and Stormy as some kind of heroes while accusing Trump of being the slime ball.

I am not a big McConnell fan, but he sure stepped up this week...Isn't that what Junior Senator Mazie Hirono asked men to do?

He went nuclear with SC, so that's not entirely true.

If the filibuster was removed for budgets and all legislation, the right would end up losing that game very fast.

There is no worse stench than leftist hypocrisy.
