Republicans just can't let go of that trickle down fantasy.

https://www.commondreams.org/news/2...ion-medicare-and-medicaid-give-super-rich-and

The measure passed by 51-49 vote, with only one Republican, Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, joining every Democrat and the chamber's two Independents who voted against it. Its approval now paves that way for massive tax giveaways to the wealthy and corporations envisioned by President Donald Trump and the GOP in both the House and the Senate.

I’m shocked, anyone else?

(Republicans have wanted this for years, tax cuts for the wealthy at the expense of Social Safety Nets... including those used by their voters who are not so rich.)

John McCain is on the list of voting for the budget cuts?

How is that possible?

Oh, the article is from October 2017.

Thanks for giving me a heart attack, OP. lol

At this rate eventually the very rotten to the core medical system will simply collapse....we are already well on the way as doctors and nurses vote with their feet and refuse the profession.

This is yet another place where America is getting and will continue to get what we deserve for our failure to perform.

That is to say that this is a demonstration of justice.

We should attempt to learn.

Any analysis on how it affects us Not Rich, but Not Poor lower middle class? :unsure13:

Well if you're on Medicare or Medicaid your benefits get reduced. If you're already well off you get more money you didn't need and weren't asking for that you'll do nothing of value with for society. If you're somewhere in the middle you get the knowledge that our deficits are going up further, and you're probably going to have to help your parents pay for their health care, your children will have more debt, and when the unnecessary economic bubble bursts you're likely to lose your job out of no where.

Nevermind. :)

Stealing from the poor to give to the rich is what Republicans do.

lol @ the working class whites who are now getting that huge stick rammed up their buttholes. Good thing they are too stupid to know it yet.

How poorly we do administration overlap, compared to the world’s dictators. Infrastructure anyone?

I have been perusing that question. We've got our Police State (homeland security, Federalized Police forces), a President that acts like an Emperor and blind support by his colleagues. Most of the money and power has been collected in the control of one tenth of one percent. The MSM is failing in its' investigative duties. Our political leaders are rented by big money lobbyists. Noone misses their lost Constitutional rights. Noone sees the press censorship beginning. Just a few thoughts.

Can’t say I go that far on your statements. If Congress can’t give us an Eisenhower plan for every single grid, a ConCon is our last hope and resort. 12 TEA party states have already approved one, with their issues.

I’m for 3-year House terms and a one-term 6-year potus. I re-evaluated after looking at Virginia’s one-term Governor. Running for re-election right after re-election is Insane. We need a Middle year for the House.

It’s time for natural change, as we just saw with NAFTA 2.0. Things need updating and added, administration overlap. It may take all baby boomers on up in age to pass along before we get through this Constitutional Crisis. I’m almost 65.

I think medicare should be eliminated entirely for the elderly. If that's what they want, give it to them, right? They deserve to pay for and receive the same services that working Americans like myself have to pay for.

You remind me of a masochist gimp with a ball-gag locked in his mouth just welcoming another pounding from his master. Your Jim Jones styled blind loyalty to those who's long term goal is to make your life harder is mind boggling.

Millions of new voters for the Democrats were instantly created and Millions more when the slow learners figure out that it impacts them personally.
The Dems are going to have a lot if work to do undoing all this BS, but they should have lots if time being that the Repubs will be in the back if the bus for many years to come.
How does a Party commit political suicide, go after Medicare and SS, the Boomers will be very mad.

He Wants the Revolution so the Nation improves or we go down fighting, trump may very well provide that for him, ever forget that.

How about passing legislation that actually helps bring down our deficit. This just attempts to offset the tax cuts...

All of that money that you've put into the pot for SS and medicare when you get old, working all those years... Most of that is now going into the pocket of some asshole making $600 K a year whose biggest problem in life is replacing the microwave oven on his 40 ft yacht. Do ya'll at least ask for lube when you bend over?

The date (10/19/2018) on this socialist faux / blog of a news site is just as informed / intelligent as the rest of the article.

As a red-blooded, still-breathing American I strongly object to zombies voting in the Senate.
