Lindsy Graham, so emotional, so wrong...

I claimed I'm anti-rape. I can't help it if some of you feel the need to constantly address the person in front of you in terms of some generalized group that draws your ire.

You also claim to be "slightly liberal" and virtually every comment you post on this website has a pro-Democrat bias. Are you saying you never voted for Bill Clinton? If you are, congrats - my comments are then not relevant to you, personally.

I think he is as queer as a 3 dollar bill. With a closet as big as Texas.

I think most of his supporters got no problem with it as long as he hides it well, "As good gay folk should."

I think he has a tendency to over-compensate for his own self-loathing trying to be someone he is not.

But that's just an opinion.

But I didn't buy into his man-gina melt down. They were all just grandstanding. It surprises me none that ol' Lindsey took home the sparkly tiara for being the drama queen. It was, after all, a pretty good performance.

Meh....

All Bev needed was the tiara and sash:lamo

You actually are on to something, many gay men in the closet do self loath, I know, been there done that. Coming out was the best thing I did. Its a liberating experience. If Beverley Graham came out, that one act would do wonders for the Republicans image with the gay community.

I don't understand why Trumpers are so behind Kavanaugh, other than emotional manipulation and supporting everything Trump does. Logically, he isn't going to help the average Ameeican. He supports dark money and the donor class. The only thing he has going for him for people like you, is maybe culture war stuff.

For Trump though, it's more obvious. Trump will fire Rosenstein and try to squash the Muller investigation once he is on the bench.

I'm not a Trump supporter, so I wouldn't know.

In the Kavanaugh testimony today Lindsey Graham used his time to bluster and attack the timing of the evidence rather than ask questions of the accused. He made the case that the Democrats sat on evidence to strategically prolong the process. He wet his conservative pampers over the fact that the majority was not given the opportunity to conduct and, presumably, squash their own paper mache investigation. He was beside himself, saying this was an unethical sham, perpetrated by the left, and for that reason he would vote to approve of Kavanaugh.

OK, let's pretend the Democrats postponed presenting the evidence for political reasons. So what? That doesn't negate the testimony. That the evidence may have been presented strategically does not make it a lie. I watched Dr. Ford and Mr. Kavanaugh. One of them seemed especially suspicious. When asked directly by one republican senator if he were guilty of the crime of which he's accused, he went in to a long string of legalese. When you're innocent, you say NO, you don't start qualifying your answer.

Senator Graham and others must now understand the message they're sending to this country. They are saying that if there is no Republican rubber stamp, there is no assault. When they are restricted from using the almighty process to sweep this under a rug, they are indignant, not about the assault but the way they had their own hands tied.

Whatever happens with the Kavanaugh thing, this country has reason to be ashamed, the Republicans for not giving a **** about an attempted rape and the democrats for not being brave enough to risk the unthinkable nomination of a rapist in order to stand firm to the principles of justice, even when it could easily be ignored by the unprincipled. If the Republicans want to brush off this assault, let THEM be the ones who choose rape rather than getting to play the victims of political chicanery.

Another pissed off angry white talibornagain that refuses to accept that this isn't the 1950's any more.

LOL, Lindsey Graham reminded me of posters here who can't put together a coherent argument to counter their opponent, so they just start ranting and raving.

Yes, corrupt politicians corrupt everything they touch, especially justice. The right is furious that this crime is getting in the way of their agenda.

Lets be honest. Democrats have no standards they will stand by no matter what or who is involved. Clinton, Ellison. enough said.

Jesus, dude, you say that after the right has elected TRUMP? Talk about your lack of standards. Yes, let's be honest. The republicans are defending sexual assault, the democrats are defending the victims.

Don't have the word "integrity" in your moniker if you don't know what it is.

"She’s as much of a victim as you are."

Actually he said the opposite of what you said.

She did not want to testify but her communications were leaked by democrats. Her own testimony they were the only ones who had access.

DIFI did a babbling song and shuffle when pressed.

Democrats used and abused ford against her will for their own political gain.

/sad

Did you not even watch the hearing? The democrats didn't leak the story, the VICTIM told her friends about it and it made its way to the press. Again, you guys are more pissed off that someone found out about your rapist than you are that he IS one.

How ****ing ignorant!

no Graham was right on putting those slum dog democrats in their place. Too bad more republicans didn't do it.
they should have kicked them back to their corner were they belong.

Sorry but accusations require evidence no stories that change 100 times.
Ford while she might have been attacked has 0 evidence has no knowledge of the event itself
has 0 details on anything that would corroborate her story.

therefore to claim that it was kavanaugh is nothing but partisan blind howling.

Just like with Mueller, they don't care if Trump is guilty, they just don't want it known.

Some DP members were upset with me for suggesting that Lindsey Graham is a closeted homosexual. I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying all GOP senators who vote pass laws unfriendly to the LBGTQ community are closeted homosexuals. I say this because they're also hypocrites.

I sincerely hope this clears up any misunderstanding.

Graham simply pointed out what everyone already knows. I'm wondering why the liar Blumenthal and the admitted groper Booker were allowed to sit in judgment of Kavanaugh.

Really? After hearing the testimony of the victim you're going to double down on "liberal conspiracy". I gotta tell you, that's pretty ****ed up, even for a group of people who believe that women were cursed by god.

I assume you didn't like it when the big, fat hypocrite, Newt Gingrich, among others, was judging Clinton either?

Simple constitutionalism is all we need.. Not this democrat circus farce.

A little evidence goes quite a ways.

What crimes? These?

"Senator Feinstein – why aren’t you calling for a more complete FBI investigation into the alleged Chinese spy in your San Francisco office who served as your driver as well as a liaison to the Asian-American community in California? You say the FBI never informed you of any compromise of national security information, and that the staffer “never had access” to classified or sensitive information. But how could they know that without interviewing you and all the members of your staff? Senator Feinstein, the only reason you would deny a fuller FBI investigation is guilt, by your own standard.

Or, how about you, Senator Durbin? In 2014, an investigation by the Chicago Tribune found that your wife lobbied on behalf of clients who then received federal funding you promoted. Your office announced the grants, but you claimed you did “nothing in terms of securing the money.” Well, how about a full investigation to get to the bottom of the matter?

Or you, Senator Gillibrand? In 2015, you received a gift worth nearly a half-million dollars from your husband’s British parents. That was more than your and your husband’s gross income that year. Your spokesperson declined to say why your in-laws gave the money or what you did with it. So, how about it? Full FBI investigation or you’re guilty, right?

How about you, Senator Blumenthal? You asked Judge Kavanaugh whether he knew the legal term “falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus” – false on one thing, false on all. Well, Senator, you’ve stated that you served in Vietnam despite the fact that you sought multiple deferments and then signed up for the Marine Reserve to avoid going to war. Which seems kind of dishonest. How about the FBI checks into your comments? You know, for the sake of honesty.

And you, Senator Booker? What about an FBI investigation into an admission you made in 1992, when you were writing for the Stanford student newspaper? You said that you groped one of your friends. “After having my hand pushed away once, I reached my mark,” you wrote. “Our groping ended soon and while no ‘relationship’ ensued, a friendship did. You see, the next week in school she told me that she was drunk that night and didn’t really know what she was doing.” Sounds just like something Spartacus would do. How about an FBI investigation into your admitted sexual assault against a drunk girl in high school?

And what about you, Senator Harris? When you took over the California AG office, you announced a statewide task force to tackle mortgage fraud. And then your mortgage fraud office did pretty much nothing. For years. I think maybe an FBI investigation might be a good way of clearing your name.

And you, Senator Whitehouse. According to Politico, as lawmakers closed in on a deal over a bill called the 21st Century Cures Act, you bought shares in pharmaceutical companies. You were actually sitting on a Senate committee overseeing health care at the time. The day president Obama signed the bill, you started selling your pharmaceutical stock. How about we have the FBI check out your phone logs?

Its pretty ignorant to say "It made its way to the press".......

No, it's not. The victim TOLD other people who had no condition of anonymity to uphold. It's you who is ignorant of human nature. If I knew the next justice was a rapist, I'd leak it too. That's the kind of thing I'd expect both parties to care about. How wrong that person was, if they thought that. The right is only interested in winning at any cost to anyone else.

Simple constitutionalism is all we need.. Not this democrat circus farce.

Yes, I'm sure you'd love it if these right-wing whackadoodles ignored or obscured from history your sister's or daughter's rape, right? I'm sure you could be comforted that the constitution allowed it.

Ah, there has been corruption among the democrats so that excuses republican rape? Now, there's an interesting insight into the conservative "brain".

An emotional argument devoid of evidence or merit. This is the path of accusation=guilt.

Obscured from history?

This is more the anti-constitutional style of the radical democrat party.

It wont take much to pull me across to the other side. All you need is....evidence.

The hypocrisy of those specific senators is clear.

Lets see the evidence.

What does pointing out liberal hypocrisy have to do with conspiracies? I simply asked why the admitted groper and the known liar are fit to question Kavanaugh. Gingrich may have had an affair but that's a long way from groping or ssying you served in Vietnam when you were nowhere near the place.

Not for me it doesn't. It doesn't make a lick of sense.

The hypocrisy of those specific senators is clear.

The evidence of attempted rape is usually the testimony of a victim. But, you've decided it doesn't count.

I have not decided anything. We currently have tons of corroborated testimony on one side 65 plus (CK). And on the other. None(FORD).

Not even a blue dress as evidence.

This of course can change with actual evidence.

The testimony of the "victim" counts greatly or the current extended circus to investigate as requested would not have held up the process for another week.
