Those of you that are political participants think that you are the way you are because of "I'm just being me". But not really. We all are what we are due to the way we filter influences put upon us by other's views of national events. We experience few national events directly. We experience through media now a days. The cause of this is that Obama left us with a nearly ungovernable country, due to every group being sliced and diced into tribes and we have louder, albeit smaller voices screaming with equal volume due to the internet. And that smallness is more mainstream today than it was back in the days of "the great leaders".

Barring a national threat - war, widespread disaster like pestilence, plague, etc, It's an open question as to what the next 50 year future will bring. Personally, I see the little tribes fighting over smaller scraps while the elites live just as well as they do today.

As the king and his court says at their sumptuous feast, "Keep the peasants fighting among themselves, and they won't have the energy to fight us!"

I was thinking of posting a thread about this, basically that the terrorist won. our country has gone down the hill since 9/11, and the most ironic thing is all those phony right wing patriots were a big party of it, because they are such chicken **** cowards. All the money we pissed away on bogus wars with absurd deficits, the alienation of the US from much of the world, the constant fear mongering and racism against muslims and other foreigners, the supporting of the Patriot Act and allowing government to spy on us, the divisiveness (particularly started hardcore with the Iraq war) and the constant spread of lies and BS all amped up after 9/11.

It always pissed me off how many americans (left and right) would wave their flags after 9/11 but was too chicken **** to travel or do anything for some stupid reason that harmed the economy. you act tough, but when it comes down to it, they were cowards. Best thing they could have done is get out and tell the terrorists F you.

i went to the first sports game in NY after 9/11, Mets-Braves. My motivation was a big FU to terrorists, you aren't scaring us. I still get chills thinking about what it was like to be there for that.

No, the intent is to track the number of misleading statements and lies Trump has told. Of course it has something to do with his job as President.
