House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) warned Wednesday that Republicans will try to target healthcare and social programs in 2019 if they retain control of Congress, an agenda she called a "nightmare for working families and seniors."

"Make no mistake: this is who Republicans are. They’ve had united government for nearly two years in Washington, and they’ve spent every moment looking to either enrich the wealthiest 1 percent or trying to tear health care away from millions nationwide," Pelosi tweeted.

The Republicans have prioritized cutting Medicade & Medicare as well as Social Security in order to pay down the trillion $ hole in the debt that their tax giveaway to the rich created. These people do not deserve to be reelected.

No! No no no! Trump cares about working families! He would NEVER scam them, making millions for himself while leaving the base to pay the bill. No no no!

Oops!

President Trump Could Save $11 Million A Year From New Tax Bill

CBO report: GOP tax plan leads to deficit spike

Apparently he did scam his base.

Nutty Nancy spews her bile yet again.

Apparently she didn't get the memo that says every time she speaks, she makes herself look more stupid.

More people working
More people with money in their bank accounts

Terrible, just terrible.

Except that the historic outcome of small-government laissez-faire capitalism (which we're living out today to a certain extent) is that more people working wind up with less and less in their bank accounts, giving them less money for healthcare, requiring more and more work to take care of their families whom they see less and less of. When the cost of living goes up faster than wages, the end result is less money in people's accounts. This sounds exactly like a nightmare to working families and seniors to me.

Economic conservatism and hyper-inflation led to the Great Depression in the 1920's. Liberal (socialist) government intervention led to the rise of the middle class in the 50's & 60's. Conservative (capitalist) Reaganomics has led to the decline of the middle class in modern America today.

That's the fatal flaw in the conservative agenda, and why conservatives are eventually going to become an endangered species. More people working is a good thing. Runaway inflation is a terrible thing. Conservative policies are great for getting people working, but they do nothing to address inflation and leave the most vulnerable members of society in the dust. When those vulnerable members of society are a small minority, Capitalism works great. When working class voters begin to fall into this category, Socialism becomes inevitable. If you really fear America becoming a Socialist country, the worst thing you can do is promote a small-government capitalist agenda while the working class is working longer hours for less pay than their parents had to. Yes more and more people are employed, but life is getting harder and harder. In that kind of climate, you may as well be handing the country over to socialists on a silver platter.

The problem is, the way she talks nowadays...dementia, you know...it's hard to understand exactly what she's saying.

Hell, she might have been supposed to be talking about the Democrats.

That's not what happened, but you are welcome to your delusional belief that Government will make things right for all.

Government can't make things right for all. Neither can free-market capitalism. Blend them together, and things can stabilize quite nicely. Not perfectly, but better than either can on its own. It's good to check and balance government power. But government is the only thing that can check and balance capitalism. When government overreach becomes excessive, the right thing to do is to reduce its size. When income inequality becomes excessive, the right thing to do is for the government to step in and protect the less fortunate.

In the current economic climate, we may indeed need more government, not less. This isn't an assault on freedom, it is a government of the people pitching in and helping the less fortunate.
