Trump Jr. mocks sexual assault claim against Kavanaugh

President Donald Trump's eldest son on Monday appeared to mock the sexual assault allegations against his father's nominee for the Supreme Court. Christine Blasey Ford, a college professor, has come forth with an allegation that Judge Brett Kavanaugh, the president's nominee, assaulted her at a party more than 30 years ago. Kavanaugh denied the charges, releasing a statement Monday that he was willing to speak to a Senate panel to "refute" the allegation. Donald Trump Jr. posted an image on Instagram with the caption "Judge Kavanaugh sexual assault letter found by Dems..." The photo attached shows a crumpled-up piece of notebook paper with a scribbled message: "Hi Cindy will you be my girlfriend, Love Bret." The note has boxes to check for "yes" or "no" and seems to compare Kavanaugh's accuser to a school yard crush. Trump Jr. has long been the Trump child most in touch with the president's most ardent voters.

He seems to relish the button-pushing, asserting or trolling Tweet. His social media feed has traded in conspiracy theories and hard-line messages about immigration or gun control. He once circulated a post that compared Syrian refugees to a bowl of Skittles candy that contained some that "would kill you. And he's embracing his role as a popular emissary for his father, crisscrossing the country on campaign trips, penning op-eds in support of favored candidates and showcasing his new relationship with former Fox News host Kim Guilfoyle.

Don Jr. is becoming a Twitter surrogate for Daddy. IIRC, lil Donnie is not yet divorced and is in a relationship. Like father like son. He is certainly no moral lighthouse to be mocking anyone.

I normally don't check Trump Jr.'s twitter account, but I did just now to see what he tweeted .. can't find the "mocking" you are referring to.

I did, however, find that I'm not only a deplorable, I'm now also dregs of society ... according to uncle Joe.

The apple does not fall far from the tree now does it.

Here is one of my biggest problems with Trumpism, the Alt-Right movement or New Right movement or whatever you want to call it. The complete surrender of Conservatism in this country which Trumpism is NOT is to the detriment of the country in general. This garbage masquerading as Conservatism is not Conservatism at all. Yet one result is that "Conservatism" bears the brunt of the criticism and is therefore entirely rejected by Progressives when in fact these so called Conservatives are not practicing Conservatism. They are not even practicing some form of Neo-conservatism. Some of them are practicing cowardice. Some of them are practicing hypocrisy. Many of them are practicing opportunism under the guise of something more genuine and more honest and more forthright. The entirety of the Trump family falls into the last category.

Now I tend to Progressivism. But I truly believe that there is a place for and an actual need for true Conservatism in this country if for no other reason than that you don't actually have a discussion of any merit unless true Progressivism is counter-balanced by true Conservatism. We don't have that now. We have the Far Left, we have Progressives, we have an ever shrinking group of Centrists, we have an utterly silent group advocating true Conservatism (I can't even find them any longer) and we have this New Right which has absolutely NOTHING to do with Conservatism and is so far outside honest American political thought that it will NEVER be an adequate counterbalance to Progressivism.

One literal proof: What do we hear repeated often about the potential for a blue wave? What we hear is that the Dem party has got to satisfy the needs of the Far Left and Progressives and that is a problem. That is not to the Party's detriment. Conversely it is no advantage to the GOP that former proponents of Conservatism have turned to cowardice, hypocrisy opportunism or silence. Notice how quickly Ben Sasse is trying to fill the void left by John McCain. Sasse might just be another form of opportunist. Frankly he has leapt too quickly to the fill the void for my liking.

As for the New Right movement that makes up the rest of the GOP, they should either go off and start another party or make room in their ranks for true Conservatism. Then again, they probably need to learn what the flying f--k true Conservatism is before they can make room for it!

My favorite is still Rudy Giuliani.

Guy studies to be a priest. Becomes mayor and physically and illegally removes the poor from the streets of Manhattan and sends them to a camp upstate. He does this while at the same time he is banging his girlfriend in the house his wife and son live in.

A fine Christian man. Like most good Christians.

Tremendous treatise of leftist pipe dream nonsense, completely irrelevant to the thread. Bravo !!

Start a thread about your views of leftism (stateism) vs rightism (iindividualism), and I'll engage you there. :) Just let me know when and which forum. :)

That, and the fact that Giuliani is, quite literally, a cousin-humper.

My main point was that Trump and his entire clan including Don Jr falls into the category of opportunists. Does not matter the topic, does not matter the target, their only intent is to satisfy their own goals which by the way have nothing to do with governance, good or otherwise. Forced to point out the other categories of what remains of the political spectrum Right of the Centrists in order to make my point. Glad you enjoyed the read.

Yeah, alleged sexual assault is just LMMMFAO stuff.

Don Jr. is just a privileged asshole, can't help himself.

Madeup total bull**** is and that's what this horsecrap is.

The LONGTIME DEMOCRAT OPERATIVE making the claims (just another democrat "coincidence" , naturally), "doesn't remember" when it was, whose house it was at, or anyone else who was there.

Get ready for more lyingass democrats to "suddenly remember" that "they were there "...

Utter nonsense, and obvious, DNC FUNDED SMEAR, just like the "coincidentally" Perkins-Coies funded attacks on Jim Jordan.

Their is NO NADIR TOO LOW, the LYING SLEAZOCRATS, and they are proving it, yet ,again.

We dont have ANY sound evidence to make a determination as to whether or not this even happened. However...DTJrs comments are stupid. His dad is a douchebag...and his sons comments dont indicate he is much better.

Where's the mocking? This is nothing but describing the Leftist playbook in such matters.

Posing a sexual assault potential or actual as a "love letter" is the worst kind of mockery...its either idiot mockery or yet another Trumpian effort to identify some degree empathy with some goon squad or another that Don Jr believes makes up their "base" of support.

His dad is a New Yorker...and?

Sleazy attempts to smear Kavanaugh with GLARINGLY OBVIOUS BULL**** is the "worst kind of mockery", as it INSULTS all TRUE SEXUAL ASSAULT VICTIMS...

I for one I'm totally glad it upsets you and yours. Trump in your heeeeeaaaddd.

The Trump sons had the odds stacked against them in the "learn how to be a decent man" part of growing up.

But as bad as I feel for the Trump sons, I feel worse for the Trump daughters.

The boys are taught to be pricks. The girls are taught they deserve nothing better.

What Jr did was stupid and disrespectful.

It's hard to take the outrage over this post by Jr serious when there is also a pretty active thread about having Al Fraken return to politics.
