Takes credit for growth he said could not happen. Yes barry, Trump does have a magic wand, it's called "you, no longer in office".

https://thehayride.com/2018/09/vide...-for-trump-job-growth-he-said-couldnt-happen/

In 2016, Barack Obama expressed that America’s joblessness couldn’t be turned around. Now, with record unemployment lows and employment highs under President Trump, Obama is taking credit for the job growth he said would never happen.
Obama claims that “the job numbers today are the same as they were in 2015 and 2016.”

But in 2016, Obama said, “because some of those jobs of the past are just not going to come back. So when someone says who I’m not going to advertise for that he’s going to bring all of these jobs back, well how exactly are you going to do that? What are you going to do?”
Here was his actual quote on June 1, 2016…
During a PBS town hall that aired Wednesday, Obama referenced Trump’s promise to bring back jobs to the United States when talking about manufacturing.
“Well, how exactly are you going to do that? What exactly are you going to do? There’s no answer to it,” Obama said.
“He just says, ‘Well, I’m going to negotiate a better deal.’ Well, what, how exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is, he doesn’t have an answer.”
Obama has slammed Trump in the past.
During a speech Wednesday, the president bashed one of the candidate’s central arguments that international trade and immigration have hurt American voters. He called Trump’s pledge to roll back Wall Street regulations “crazy.”
“That will not help us win,” Obama said of Trump. “That is not going to make your lives better.”

And now, with Trump’s economy generating better GDP numbers, lower unemployment and higher wage growth than in the entire eight years of Obama, America’s worst presidential economic performer is attempting to take credit.
What a stupid remark to make. Even more stupid, someone who doesn’t understand how the economy or job creation works. Even dumber than that – someone who created more debt than his predecessors.

Remember the guy that says he can open the pickle jar and tries his hardest to open it and nothing? He gives it someone else and that person opens it with ease. The first guy embarrased claims credit for loosening the jar up and wants the credit.

That guy reminds me of Obama.

The numbers for August were good news (as long as you are not a Trump hater and like seeing America continue improving)

Well said.

Hilarious.

Oh for God's sake. The orange sphincter got lucky he came in when the economy was expanding. If he hadn't Bobby and Bucky would have been blaming it on Obama.

Your boy had 8 years to make it happen, his regulations put the economy in the doldrums.

Not to mention, O said those jobs were gone and just not coming back.

Is that right? The economy has been improving since the recession sh*t sandwich Obama was handed when Bush left. You can believe in revisionist history all you want but it doesn't make it so.

And since any graph on the economy from 2009 until now will bear the out I fail to see how his regulations put the economy in the doldrums.

In fact there was at least one quarter possibly two during Obama's two terms where growth was faster than it is now.

So keep living in your fantasy world but I prefer to live in reality. I've studied economics. You obviously don't have a clue.

Must have really had to scrape the bottom of the barrel for that one! My middle school year book had better pictures than that!

Why are you posting lies?

Here's what Obama ACTUALLY said:

Now, the good news is that there are entire new industries that are starting to pop up, and you're actually seeing some manufacturers coming back to the United States because they’re starting to realize, you know what, energy prices are lower here, workers are better here, this is our biggest market, and so even though we off-shored and went someplace else before, now it turns out we're better off going ahead and manufacturing here.

But for those folks who’ve lost their job right now because a plant went down to Mexico, that isn't going to make you feel better. And so what we have to do is to make sure that folks are trained for the jobs that are coming in now, because some of those jobs of the past are just not going to come back. And when somebody says -- like the person you just mentioned who I'm not going to advertise for -- that he’s going to bring all these jobs back, well, how exactly are you going to do that? What are you going to do? There’s no answer to it. He just says, well, I'm going to negotiate a better deal. Well, how exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is he doesn’t have an answer.

Obama CLEARLY said new jobs were being created but the old jobs of the past which are only profitable now in foreign countries are not coming back. It is 100% a lie to claim Obama said "joblessness couldn't be turned around". And the fact is Obama was right and Trump HASN'T brought those jobs to which Obama referred and a good example of that is the Carrier plant Trump so loudly touted which has since laid off over 500 workers whose jobs went to Mexico. And the job creation under Trump is absolutely no better than it was in Obama (it is roughly equal or slightly less).

So you have not provided a single example of Obama lying but I HAVE provided an example of your post being a lie. So why would you post a lie so easily proven a lie?
What a post looks like when a poster has nothing to offer.
In fairness, it is hard to craft a response to someone whose original comment is completely devoid of reality.

When I see posts like this.. I worry about the future of our country. Truth does not matter anymore.

When jobs were improving under Obama.. Trump and company claimed that those numbers were not "real".. and that unemployment was so much worse etc.

The minute that he got elected and took office.. suddenly.. those very numbers... remember.. which he said were actually terrible? suddenly.. LOOK AT WHAT I HAVE DONE.

Please.

What I also find funny.. is so many so called conservatives.. that think that the president and the economy is the be all end all of the economy.

All I can say is the blog Bobby posted a link to must have some serious budget problems with photos like this:

Slowest economic recovery, sounds great!
Our economy is moving roughly the same pace now as it did under Obama. So if you are not impressed with the Obama recovery, then it seems pretty hackery of you to tout the Trump economy.
