Ex-Trump campaign aide Papadopoulos sentenced to 14 days in prison

Other than this LAUGHABLE MISDEMEANOR, how many from this DECADE? ....

You didn't watch any news this past month?

And you didn't read this thread? Mach has answered that question twice.

If you're not interested in keeping up with current events, why are you on a political forum?

Clear indication that the TDS left will makeup whatever TOTAL BULL**** they have to, to convince themselves of their own FAILING NARRATIVE.

"Prosecutors had asked Judge Randolph Moss in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to impose a prison sentence of up to six months, saying that Papadopoulos' lies impeded their investigation and that he did not cooperate."

Yeah...sounds like he was soooooo "contrite".

The Judge already told the world why he decided the way he decided. So you can stop with the 56 size font. Its not helping your case. Also does not help that the usual term for this as a guilty plea in jail time is.......0

Other than this LAUGHABLE MISDEMEANOR, how many from this DECADE? How many that have ONE DAMNED THING to do with "Russian collusion"?

Are you seriously asking how many Trump cronies have been convicted in the last ten years?
Also, are you seriosly questioning whether an investigation into Russian collusion that turns up evidence of other crimes should ignore that evidence?
That's what the right whinge is left with, isn't it. Yeah, right, okay, but no Russians so nothingburger. Except the Mueller investigation has indicted 12 Russians who will never stand trial, sure, but it's like the tide coming in. It's slow but it's inevitable. Doesnt matter how loud you shout here you can't pretend the tide will stop.

But wasn't Papadopoulos that was the key figure in starting the Russian investigation against Trump according to the FBI early on still under the leadership of Comey/ McCabe but now McCabe who is before a grand jury for wrong doing in his handling of the investigation of the Trump campaign/transition team investigation? It ends up for Papadopoulos 14 days for lying on a technicality? I can think of a number of lefties on this forum who went full boar pushing this agenda and making several threads over Papadopoulos being the linchpin just lost all face.

Can you say "READ THE ARTICLE"?

I can and did. Can you read the article?

So much for The Big Case the Grand Buffoon had on Papadopolous.

This "slap on the wrist" speaks VOLUMES about the WEAKNESS of the Witch Hunt's 2016 ELECTION cases(s).

I guess Papoadopolus didn't have an unpaid parking ticket from ten years ago....and NO, TDSers, he DID NOT "FLIP" on Trump....

The Grand Buffon's collusion case is COLLASPING BEFORE YOUR EYES, it appears...

Ex-Trump campaign aide Papadopoulos sentenced to 14 days in prison

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - George Papadopoulos, a former aide to then-Republican candidate Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, was sentenced on Friday to 14 days in prison after pleading guilty last year to lying to federal agents investigating whether campaign members coordinated with Russia before the election.

Prosecutors for Special Counsel Robert Mueller said Papadopoulos lied to agents about his contacts with Russians during the campaign "to minimize both his own role as a witness and the extent of the campaign's knowledge of his contacts," according to the government's sentencing memorandum.

Among those contacts were London-based professor Joseph Mifsud, who told him the Russians had "dirt" on Trump's Democratic presidential rival Hillary Clinton in the form of "thousands of emails." Russia has denied U.S. allegations that it interfered in the campaign and President Trump denies campaign collusion.

Prosecutors had asked Judge Randolph Moss in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to impose a prison sentence of up to six months, saying that Papadopoulos' lies impeded their investigation and that he did not cooperate.

The Witch Hunt has BEEN EXPOSED.....this SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT THE STRENGTH of the "RUSSIA COLLUSION" bullcrap narrative.

Poor Mueller. He keeps on plugging along hoping for some miracle by which he can get out of this mess without looking like a bumbling idiot in the process.

How many convictions do we have of Trump cronies now?

How many cases still open that we know about?

4 convictions of people tied to Trump out of 11 total convictions, none expecting sentences greater than 90 days, 7 expecting judicial suspension of sentences.

Open investigations don't matter, indictments and convictions matter. The FBI maintains open investigation about the fates of Judge Crater and James Hoffa. I think it is discriminatory they closed the case on Judge Roy Bean.

0 of which have to do with the investigation of Russian meddling or obstruction.
