If you’re trying to make sense out of the NAFTA negotiations, where Canada is suddenly rushing to avoid being shut out of a US-Mexico deal, consider this: With his insufferable moral arrogance, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been cruising for a bruising — and now he’s gotten it.

Given Trudeau’s attempt to reinvent the country as the smarmy Eddie Haskell of nations, it’s been fun to watch — but let’s make sure it doesn’t end up costing both Canada and the United States.

Trudeau’s first rude awakening, by the way, didn’t come at the hands of Team Trump. Justin had become a laughingstock when visiting India last February, where he dressed the family Bollywood-style. Even the Indians thought he was a joke.

I really hope Trump takes this clown to the woodshed on twitter. His wonky behavior is going to cost Canada 120,000 Canadian auto jobs. The U.S economy is strong! They can take a short-term hit. Canada's PM has an extreme lack of self-awareness. The global world is starting to see him a clown like-pm figure.

Clowns leading North American neighbors seems to be the newest political movement. Don Cheeto justs needs a pair of big red shoes and a rubber nose.

So, random question...when a clown calls someone else a clown, doesn't that cancel something out? :lamo

In the meantime, if you're looking for a real update, vs. something out of Bucky's Fancy Fun Comedy Show:

He is a clown just because he does not want to play Trump's games?

I can tell you what. You will never see Trump wearing a dress when visiting another country.

Trudeau's latest line in the sand: Cultural industries.

??? And what is a cultural industry? Native pottery making? Nope. It's his propaganda machine.

The prime minister also said his government won’t sign an updated free trade accord with the U.S. and Mexico if the deal doesn’t continue exemptions for Canada’s cultural industries, which aims to protect Canada’s publishing and broadcast industries.

That too was entrenched in the original Canada-U.S. free trade deal that preceded NAFTA. Giving up the exemptions would be tantamount to giving up Canadian sovereignty and identity, Trudeau said.

“It is inconceivable to Canadians that an American network might buy Canadian media affiliates, whether it’s newspapers or TV stations or TV networks,” he said.

“So we’ve made it very clear that defending that cultural exemption is something that is fundamental to Canadians.”

Okay. Cool. Trudeau can keep his media...while Canadians lose hundreds of thousands of jobs.

that would seem to be the reason for his designation from the circus. Meanwhile to guy who drives the clown car is surrounded by support clowns who enable and protect him so he does not crash the clown car into the big support pole bringing down the entire circus tent.

When he visited Mr. Swampy was basically making out with the dude. So are you saying Mr. Swampy likes clowns? Maybe those that weren't captured.
I bet Mr. Swampy thinks Trudeau looks great in a "dress".

Trudeau is respected. Trump is not:

Jerusalem:
America the laughingstock

England:
Trump Has Made America Into A Laughingstock

Canada:
The year the world laughed at U.S.

But personally I think Trump attacks Trudeau because of jealousy. Now:

You know I can say Trudeau is a lackluster politican and that he did act foolish in India, but I do not see why that is justification for Trump to bully Canada into a bad deal, why should I choose Trump over Canada, even if I do not care for the current PM?

And if Canada gets rid of the CRTC, will we get something in return or will you admit fair trade is BS and Canada will get nothing in return for any concessions?

One hand I hate Canadian telecom companies and I am not going to fight for some lame CBC comedy show, the other hand, I think the Canadian news media is far better then the American one and I do not want to Canadian news media to be more like the American one.

But fair trade is BS if Canada has to make all the concessions and the US has to make none.

Yeah, but then Canada doesn't have nearly the racial divisiveness. So no worries if Trudeau wants to show some respect for other cultures, although I'm sure it gets the racists going.

Would you like to see your fellow citizens lose their jobs so Trudeau can keep his media mouthpiece?

We're learning it's all nonsense.

Remember the Friday deadline...ignored. And now that Woodward's book has come out, and everyone is seeing Trump for immature ignorant clown he is, no way is the USA Congress going to let Trump screw up trade with Canada.

LOL, that's not going to happen in the long term.

We learned Trump's deadlines are nonsense. Friday has come and gone.

We're learning it's all nonsense.

And now that Woodward's book has come out, and everyone is seeing Trump for immature ignorant clown he is, no way is the USA Congress going to let Trump screw up trade with Canada. So yeah, we'll just wait it out, maybe give Trump the double big red carpet treatment so he gets all excited when we're to strike a deal.

Sorry, but none of that makes a difference when negotiating trade deals.

Of course it does. Bob Woodward has exposed Trump for the ignorant, immature, vain fool he is. Nobody fears that. OK, sure, everybody with an ounce of sense had already figured that out from reading his tweets, but Woodward's book is definitely confirmation.

As well, we all know that if you give Trump the extra special big boy treatment, he get's all excited. So when Canada is ready to reach an agreement we will praise Trump to the skies, and he will agree to whatever we put forward.

But don't worry, as Canadians we will make sure it is fair for both parties. We would never be such low lifes as to only consider our needs, and not those of our neighbours as well.

A book of rumors won't stop Trump from playing hardball with Trudeau, no matter how much you hope so. You should know by now that public opinion doesn't stop Trump doing what he promised his voters.

Tell that to the hundreds of DEAD RUSSIANS he left in Syria, the Red Chinese who are scrambling to survive tariffs, the EU who are doing EXACTLY what the President wanted , both in terms of commerce and defense, the Poles who now have a missile defense shield against the Russians, the Ukrainians, who now have US anti-tank rockets (etc.), to protect them from the Russians and every American enjoying the exploding economy, and more of their own money in their own pockets.

As opposed to "more flexible after my election". "red line in the sand", "Arab spring idiocy" Obama....

And as opposed to THIS entitled BRAT:

Would you like to see your fellow citizens lose their jobs so Trudeau can keep his media mouthpiece?

Can you prove CBC, Global, CTV, National Post, Rogers, Bell media, etc are all Trudeau's mouth pieces or do you not know anything about Canada media and thus have no real informed opinions on this issue?

Also what is Trump offering us in exchange for getting rid of the CRTC? If its nothing, then how is fair trade not a total lie on Trump's part?

Except his promises are based on BS and his supporters do not seem to know anything about Canada and thus cannot make informed opinions about Canadian trade.

So that gives Trump the right to screw with Canada's economy?
