There are those who wake up every morning with the intention of finding a reason to hate the people they disagree with. They don't seek to understand. They don't value opposing opinions as a challenge by which to validate or perhaps modify their beliefs because they see no possibility that their beliefs are anything but 100% correct. They see those who differ with them as a threat, as an enemy, as an entity to be dismissed out of hand because there can be no value in disagreement. They see fundamental liberty as being an oppressive force in their lives because it allows those challenges to stand. They see opposition to a "perfected" idea as little more than intellectual vandalism and that vandalism, like any other crime, must be dealt with harshly.

Such thinking has existed for a very long time in the annals of history. On occasion that kind of thinking has been the predominant thinking in a given society. On occasion the societies which have adopted that kind of thinking grew quite strong and powerful. None of those societies have stood the test of time. One inclined toward that kind of thinking would be wise to consider the reasons those societies no longer hold their power. Of course, such consideration would require entertaining the possibility that the base idea is not as perfect as it seems. For that reason we rarely see the requisite introspection sufficient to stave off self destruction. The cycle thus continues.
What a sad, cocooned existence whereby one has no sense of wonder and curiosity about the things beyond their little bubble. To wake up everyday and not only seek to find fault in "the other" but never reflect on one's own fallibility.
To stop evolving is to stop living meaningfully.
To stop any desire to learn from others is even worse.

It's ****ing old man. Being for immigration enforcement is not racist.
Being pro-police, is not racist.
Being pro-voter ID is not racist.

Three simple areas that instead of engaging in a meaningful discussion about the pro's and con's of the issue will inevitably result in the persons backing such being called racist. Which is intellectually dishonest to the core. The list of race card tossing issues is extremely long, and often times mired in the stupidest reasons.
They know that;) Obama was for it. Clinton was for it. A host of Dems young and old were for it.
Until a President came along and actually set out to make good on the exact f-ing promises they did. Not to be outdone, they've flipped the script.
Otherwise, they'd look like...I dunno...useless, lying, failed gasbags.

Do you have any evidence that there is a giant corrupt conspiracy at the NAS? If not you realize you are just letting others tell you what to think, correct?

Please present some of them, all I ask is that they are from reputable journals.

I couldn't find them. You are making the claim, you need to present the evidence to support your claim.

LOL....

Liberal think tanks are not a conspiracy.

If you were truly objective about any controversial issue, then you would have the honesty to go look for opposing opinions and then form your own opinion based on all the finding and facts.

But, most like many liberal and conservative hacks on here, you run straight to anything that supports, and seemingly solidifies..............your totally biased opinions.

I know there's already a thread in MSM Breaking News about Kavanaugh and it does cover this incident:

Jewish Ex-Trump Staffer Accused of Making White Power Symbol | Time

Some people, almost all claiming to be on the left, have accused me of being a mean, nasty, bitter, angry old man. They don't like be called out for their attitudes, viciousness, ignorance, halfassed thinking, and plain BS.

How anyone can tolerate and generate this kind of crap does anger me. It is unacceptable behavior, no matter the underlying opinions, the partisanship, whatever the excuse. And it runs rampant in many of the threads here in this forum. The outright ignorance expressed by posters here is beyond belief. One woman, when I told her she knew nothing of the left, that the left would not exist without the contributions of Jews, Irish, Italians who built unions and worked for civil rights, had the audacity to respond "Not my left." You know who you are and the left is not yours.

I'm generally a happy and satisfied man in his last years enjoying my retirement. I love my family, watching my grandkids mature, enjoy my friends, my second wife who is a blessing, sitting back on life achievements few have the good fortune to enjoy, taking pleasure with long time and new neighbors, still active in local politics to minor extent, and active with our school system activities and other philanthropies, because I can. I love this nation, the opportunities is has afforded me and mine, and I've served to fulfill my obligations to this nation.

Yet this garbage attitude on the part of many from today's self proclaimed progressives, does anger me, embitter me, and demands my wrath.

You all are so busy with hate, proclaiming bigotry, scandal, as it they were both unheard of under the sun, you cannot see what is really happening.

You proclaim about the poor suffering Palestinians and abusive Israeli's and you don't see the first honest action of an American president that could create peace in the that part of the mideast. A man who cut the funding of UHRA, the palestinians, and the hate they both teach. No more baksheesh to our enemies. Make peace, real peace or do without our support. There has not been on American president since 1949 who had the balls to do this until Trump. Yet you want his balls on a platter because he screws around and attempt to payoff the women with hush money to keep quiet, because he isn't your image of an equal opportunity president, old songs with no value, because there never has been a president since LBJ who actually acted in such a manner, and he was also a white bigot.

You've all whined and cried because he started trade wars, implementing tariffs against allies and enemies. Yet every nation which he hit with American tariffs, places tariffs on goods imported from the US, and not a word about that. You are all liars by omission and ignorant, blinded by self generated hate. Take your investigations and shove them where the moon don't shine. All they accomplish is to deflect from real problems we need resolved.

To hell with everyone of your hypocrite phony patronizing bigots incognito. You all deserve as much suffering as this life can offer.

Your really not going to like Muellers final report, or for Noc election results.

Another brilliant demonstration of ignorance at work. Go for that remedial reading course you so desperately need. So easy to forget Mueller is a Republican, your shining knight in white armor.

Do tell what you know.

It is not him speaking, it is his crystal ball that speaks for him. My magic 8 ball says maybe? :rofl

I will put my college degree against yours, any day. Nov is going to suck for you, and Trump. Good !!

Of course racism was the reason many people voted for Trump. There were 14-15 other Republicans in the GOP primaries, and they would have done the EXACT things Trump has done. Appoint Conservative Judges, rolling back regulations, tax cuts, etc..Most of the things the Republican base said they wanted, especially the Con Judges and Tax cuts..

The only difference is Bush and the rest didn't scream build a wall and call Mexican rapists and attack Muslims.

I'm not saying every single person who voted for Trump did it because of racism. But it was a reason, and personally I am tired of people walking on egg shells about the issue. There's still a lot of racists in this country and the FACT is most of them have set up shop in the Republican Party. And Trump has empowered them, and since he was elected that is evident almost every day in the headlines where Republicans call blacks baboons and white supremacist leader thank Trump.

LOL....

Liberal think tanks are not a conspiracy.
The National Academy of Sciences is a "Liberal think tank"? LOL, I'll give you a pro-tip: Just because Trump loves his poor educated, does automatically mean that people who aren't poorly educated are liberal.

If you were truly objective about any controversial issue, then you would have the honesty to go look for opposing opinions and then form your own opinion based on all the finding and facts.
I did find the facts. The studies I referenced are printed in very respectable peer reviewed journals and say racism played a part in people voting for Trump. I have looked for studies that say the opposite they don't exist. You seem quite convinced that they do exist, so please produce some.

But, most like many liberal and conservative hacks on here, you run straight to anything that supports, and seemingly solidifies..............your totally biased opinions.

Peer-reviewed studies in prestigious journals are "anything that supports....my biased opinions"?

I'm sorry but you have no idea what you are talking about, or how to use critical thinking to arrive at a viewpoint. Your statement above proves this beyond a shadow of a doubt, and the sad part is it means are vulnerable to letting others tell you what to think. If you would like some help in changing this I would sincerely be happy to help.

That whether the author of the OP likes it or not, racism was one of the factors that led to people supporting Trump. Polls support this:

22 million Americans support neo-Nazis, new poll indicates

That is roughly 1/4 of Trump's base. And Trump's behavior demonstrates that he realizes what a significant part of his base is composed of racists. Whether this is by leading the racist Birther Movement, or by publicly supporting the KKK and Neo Nazis:

Trump Defends White-Nationalist Protesters: 'Some Very Fine People'

Of course Trump has a long and well documented history of racist behaviour:

Trump Has A Long And Well-Documented History Of Racist Behavior

So yeah, all the evidence, and the scientific research, points to Trump being a racist, and that a significant part of his base are supporting him because they too are racists. Feel free to prove the studies in these two prestigious journals wrong:

Research Finds That Racism, Sexism, and Status Fears Drove Trump Voters

Last resort of the losing team...playig the race card.

BTW screw anyone that thinks anyone I know is a racist.

I will put my college degree against yours, any day. Nov is going to suck for you, and Trump. Good !!

:rofl No you won't. I'm guesting, lecturing at post graduate levels at St. John's this semester, and I don't teach basketball. :rofl

Nov won't suck for me. I don't care who wins, who loses. They are all self serving corrupt trash as far as I am concerned.

If you take your hands out of your pocket, leave that little thing alone, it might grow. Never mind. Still won't help you.
