Heart Warming Moment At the McCain Funeral

Read what I wrote.
I said she has the right to her opinion. I also have the right to mine. Grow up.
Who said you don't have a right to a stupid opinion? No one.

You're being told you opinion is worthless. Some opinions are worthless trix, and some are well supported...you don't get a trophy for participation. Grow up indeed!

What do you think a debate forum is, if not a debate about which opinions are good ones, and which ones are absurd?

I wasn't going to dignify his post with a response but that was good, bravo...

Oh, so you don't thinking overthrowing the Taliban and Saddam Hussein was a good thing? You don't think we should have hunted down Osama?

Getting Osama was a good thing. Last I looked the Taliban is still around and the new government in Iraq not so great. Worth thousands of our kids killed and many more disabled at a cost of trillions. I think it was among the worst mistakes America has made in decades.

Always thought that Bush II started the Iraq war was to finish the job his dad started. Pretty sick IMO.

Well there goes quite probably the last true American Republican...

I will miss him.

Meghan McCain has a right to her opinion, but she should have known better to take a hit at a sitting president during her eulogy to her father. There is no place for politics at funerals.

I didn't mean to like your post, before ANYONE tells Megan McCain how to honor her father someone needs to tell General Bone Spurs the "sitting (on his fat ass) president" that the National Colors are not a yoyo to be run up and down the White House flag pole because he was too chicken**** to fly them, properly, at half mast for a fallen American Hero!

But they aren't in power any longer, and despite their ability to "contest parts of the country" which are a million miles from anywhere(keep in mind even after the Soviet Union pulled out the decrepit Afghan communists held on for several more years----being able to "contest' the countryside doesn't actually get you much benefit in terms of controlling the country) they won't be taking over any time soon.

Overthrowing the Taliban was "the worst mistake the US has made in decades"?

Saddam Hussein was a brutal despot who gassed his own people en masse. Taking him out was a good thing.

I still do not blame that on him so much as the man who was really in charge, Dick Cheney...

Um...he was the President of the United States. It could have gone something like this:

Vice President: "Let's invade Iraq."
The President of the United States: "No."
Vice President: "Darn."

But it didn't.

It's odd how quickly we Americans forget the rank corruption and malfeasance of the Bush years.

Still pretty clear in my memory.

Eh not to drive this off topic, but it was destabilized long before Bush, or do you agree with Swampy that all those dictators kept things in line? Because if so, I have a wall to sell you and Mexico will pay for it!

Bush doesn't get a pat on the head for turning a messed up region into a much worse, more messed up region.

I didn't get an attaboy from my wife for trying to fix a leaky faucet and flooding the basement instead.

I never said he had a spine...

Did you know he is deathly afraid of horses?

He seems a nice enough guy as a private citizen but he is still the worst President of my lifetime. Some tender moments aren’t going to change that.

Tell that to the thousands of parents whose children were killed or disabled in senseless wars. Tell that to the thousands of innocent Afghans or Iraqi families who lost loved ones. Tell that to the millions of Americans who lost their homes/jobs due to the policies that brought us the great recession.

Nobody is perfect.

Oy vey...

I did not. I am not surprised either seeing as the whole cowboy nonsense was manufactured.

Well, I "thought" he would be the worst president of … ever! How wrong I was.

Politics completely aside, Meghan McCain has broken my heart. She, right now, is just a little girl who lost her daddy. At times, she seemed inconsolable. I was there myself, 8 years and 1 month ago.

I literally sobbed throughout Meghan’s entire eulogy. So beautifully written & delivered.

Yip cowboy hat, spandex biking shorts on a mountain bike, true Texan..

That is not true. John McCain did not invite Trump because he was against the kind of person Trump is. All Meghan did was remind everyone of how her father viewed Trump, which is honoring her father This wasn't about politics, it was about humanity. McCain was full of humanity and Trump has none.

and by the way Trix, my opinion of you has fallen with this comment.

Look on the bright side. Some day you may have the numbers for a National Convention and you can repeal that pesky First Amendment.

When Trump starts getting us into prolonged pointless wars costing thousands upon thousands of lives he may be able to dethrone W as the worst President of my lifetime. He still has time, but for now Trump is just the dumbest, most obnoxious and possibly most corrupt. But to be the worst he will need a lot more blood on his hands.

She can do whatever she'd like at her father's funeral.

That that upsets you so much is simply delicious.

I haven't seen it yet, I tuned I just as Obama was speaking I can imagine though.she is the main reason I often tune into the first ten minutes or so of the view, I guess I kinda got a thing g for her well nowhere near as bad as I do for Sophia Vergara.

I really hope the Arizona governor appoints Megan to fill her father's seat...

I'll certainly agree that Bush's policies were measurably and objectively worse, but I remember those years pretty well, and Trump is definitely more toxic to the morale of the country.

I've been thinking the same thing. I'm sure she would do her father proud.
