it cost 2.5 million dollars for trump to go play golf each trip. he was playing golf 23% of the time he has been in office. some reports say 72 million in first nine months up to 147 million up to now or more ...Obama spent 114 million for eight years traveling, divide this amount by 8..... but he did not stop pay raises and gave women equal pay for same job

Trump feels that he should not give raises to federal employees that are working for u.s. citizens. do you republicans agree that this is right???
this man is misusing the office/ tax payer money and ripping of the people that voted him in having a good time on our taxes ... I am sorry math does not lie... you cannot spin this anyway but wrong.. I hope you people are happy with what you did to the patriotic American citizens by voting him in ....

Tax cuts, private jets and million-dollar golf outings for the WH staff; pay cuts and inflation for the little people.

Why exactly do poor whites vote Republican?

Oh yeah. God, guns, gays, blacks, Muslims, Mexicans...

The question is not so much why poor people vote Republican as it is why poor people, or minorities, or women voted for Donald Trump.

How the **** does it take that much money to play golf? And why do people pay that much money to play golf? The world is crazy.

I'm outraged!, but when I get to be President I want to take up golf too.

Are you kidding, I'd get my ass so kicked for such a waste of time, how does this guy get away with it?

Oh, just one thought, the raises are not actually up to trump, that would be Congress, and they do not need his blessing. It is just trump being trump and making more Democrats.

It cost lots of money to protect the president.

And Trump just froze the cost-of-living pay increases of the people who are supposed to be willing to take a bullet for him.

Your point?

How much of their buying power should they let Trump erode before they move on to the private sector?

I work for a non-profit and I get most of those holidays off and benefits that rival most government agencies. Also, "average annual salary" don't mean dick. Me and Aaron Rodgers average a $10,000,000 salary a year.

Why are you guys who must defend Trump at all costs defending a takeaway from workers (reminder, this raise was promised and then canceled) because of budget shortfalls when Trump and the GOP ensured such a shortfall when they passed the looting of the treasur ...er, the tax cut? Why do you insist that dicking over the American worker (and yes, federal employees are AMERICAN WORKERS, PERIOD, FULL STOP) to benefit the already wealthy is just fine and dandy?

What's your point? That they don't deserve it?

Maybe they should be happy to put their life on the line for the golfer-in-chief even if they never get another raise.

The highest paid federal employee, as per a quick google search (LIBRUL BIAS) is Bill Johnson, the president and CEO of the TVA (yes, that still exists). He makes $4.9 million a year as of two years ago, with bonuses and mandatory increases that have likely pushed him over $6M a year if I could find a decent source. Wikipedia says he also pulled a $44M severance when he got canned in an energy company merger.

Thanks, FDR. I would venture that he doesn't deserve alldat.

I don't think any average American can comprehend the golden parachutes these rich executives get, and how badly they're being blasted in the ass by the rich on a daily basis.

I'll tell you right now, if I were ever to become President (which will never happen), one of my first legislative priorities would be to give the Secret Service a big payraise. They have one of the most important jobs in the nation.

Yes, but golden parachute or free fall, when they hit the ground they're going to be dead.

(First quarter 2018)

Specific examples of tax cut savings:

  • Bank of America Corp.’s IRS bill in the first quarter fell the most, plummeting by $709 million from a year ago.
  • Alphabet Inc. has, so far, had the biggest dollar windfall, seeing its tax bill plummet by $1 billion.
  • Harley-Davidson Inc. in the first quarter, saved $24M and the company in turn focused on boosting buybacks and its dividend.
