Hillary vs Trump? 2 parties? The worst choice ever in 2016?

Perhaps as one outcome of that has been the renewed interest in other voting systems that actually LET you vote for your top preferred candidate and still make your vote count for the candidate(s) you prefer less, even if your first choice does not gather enough support.

equal.vote is one of such systems. The short video on the page and the page itself explain it well. Just thought I'd share.

Perhaps some day we can get to a better system than the disgrace of a voting system we have today.

The problem with that, and I say this as someone who consistently votes third party, is that while the Republocrats are in charge, so long as that OneParty oligarchy remains in power, the rules are not going to change. They have control of the system and they'll be damned if they lose that control.

Yes, it's hard to change, but the more people are exposed to the concept, over time the more will be willing to adopt it. Your vote for 3rd party candidates is indeed a waste of a vote under the current rules. Unfortunately! I wish it mattered!

Also as the OP site suggests, starting from local elections and going on to state and national ones would be one path to get there.

When something is popular enough, politicians supporting the concept can get elected, and finally make the change.
