Yes, it is not great for those that think Trump is an honorable and trustworthy man.

For the rest of us, we understand who and what that man is.

If he is tortured, it is of his own doing.

His wounds are and consistently have been self inflicted.

...And so Trump returns to the most puissant (among his acolytes) of his hackneyed tropes: stoke the campfire around which Trump-to-Fox News-to-Trump choir sings by vilifying Hillary Clinton with yet another canard so as to direct attention away from his own litany of felonious knaveries....


Solely by dint of Trump's having said so, what one can be sure of is that the FBI looked at some quantity other than 3,000 of her emails.

If all a person exposes themselves to is Twitter and the Trump-hating multimedia, these tweets from Trump would seem to be fantastical nonsense. But to a person who deliberately exposes themselves to true investigative journalism, what Trump tweeted is common knowledge. This person, instead, wonders why Trump chooses now as the time to make people talk about this issue.

Me? I don't know, but I have some speculations.

1. The most obvious reason, of course, is to distract the media...to get them to talk about something else.

2. Trump doesn't say so in these two tweets...deliberately, I suspect...but those 675,000 emails he's talking about have nothing to do with any emails that were found and released by any Obama administration agency. These are emails that were found on Weiner's laptop.

And yes, Trump is absolutely correct. Per statement from Comey and McCabe, Strzok and two other people only examined just over 3,000 of those emails.​

But why mention this Wiener laptop thing now? After all, it's been nearly two years since the Obama DOJ/FBI first found out about it and the Trump administration has known about it, at least, since the IG talked about it in their report on McCabe. Well, I think Trump is setting the stage for a big reveal. I think, very close to the elections this year, a figurative MOAB is going to be dropped on the American people that could blow the Dems out of the water. In other words, I think he's using this for political purposes.

But...what Trump is doing is not corrupt.

Donald Trump has had every opportunity every other person taking the office had.

He has squandered every chance and every bit of sound advice given to help him govern successfully.

Every good number Trump claims as his work is actually an extension of others' work. Trump has not accomplished one task of his making...to a successful completion.

Trump's troubles are 100% Trump created.
