Poll: Most Americans think Trump doesn't 'hire the best people'

8/20/18
President Donald Trump repeatedly said during the 2016 election that he would “hire the best people” for his administration, but a new poll Monday shows that most Americans don't think he delivered on that promise. The new Monmouth University Poll found that only 30 percent of respondents believe that Trump has hired the "best people," with 58 percent saying he has not. Twelve percent of those polled responded either that the president’s hiring record was mixed or that they didn’t know about his hiring record. Respondents held a dim view of how the Trump White House operates in general — just 19 percent said that they were “very confident” in the way that the president’s advisers and staff are handling their jobs, with 23 percent saying they were “somewhat confident” in White House personnel. More than half said they were "not too confident" or "not at all confident."

Gee, ya think? Even one of Trumps former so called "best people" hires - The Mooch - agreed that Trump doesn't hire the best people.

Not saying He hires the best people as truly many of them suck, but hey, at least the poll isn't skewed towards democrats. Rite! lolol

Most of the most skilled cog turners are on strike, so no of course Trump has not hired the best people.

He gets a pass from me, because this was out of his control, and I am a fair guy.

For not hiring the best people, he sure is getting a lot more out of them than slenderman did with his "best".

Trump must be the much better boss, youd have to agree, eh?

The poll is clearly wrong. Trump employed the Russians to help him win despite the American people being against him and they delivered for him.

Seems like the poll hit a nerve. Good.

One thing that can be said for Trump...

He doesn't keep the bad people around. He fires them.

On the other hand, if the Trump haters had paid as much attention to the people other Presidents hired as they do to the people Trump has hired, maybe those other Presidents would have fired more people, too.

Dear OP,

Don't you see the greater plan?

Trump hires all these scumbags, get's them thrown in prison, and drains the swamp that way!

Brilliant! [/sarcasm]

Always a feeble excuse. Not only has he not hired the best people, but with those he has hired, corruption reigns. The swamp is overflowing with it.

Ummm no, he held Pruit for as long as he could. Pruitt should have been fired after his first offense and even then Trump said he was a "good man" as well as not condemning previous people he has fired like Manafort. Thank you for demonstrating the Trump Defense Syndrome (TDS) that many of his supporters have.

Like Michael Flynn? Trump was told on day one about the problems with Flynn. Obama warned him, then Sally Yates warned him. It took the "dishonest media" to expose the truth and shame him before he fired him.

There are many many more examples where Trump had to be shamed into firing bad people.

Omarosa was a reality TV star. How do you excuses that hire?

He hires his son-in-law and daughter who have absolutely no political experience. Jared Kushner is going to solve Middle East peace with ZERO experience in international relations?

This man is totally incompetent when it comes to hiring people. His hiring practices border on malpractice. That's the truth. Deny it if you must.

So, are you condemning Trump because he gave people chances? Or, are you condemning Trump because he didn't condemn people that he fired? Or, are you just plain condemning Trump no matter what he does?

I'm thinking it's the third one.

I'm thinking it's the third one.

So how many chances did you think Pruitt needed after the first major offense?

~snipped the nonsense~

Well, let's see...

Flynn didn't break any laws. Flynn was set up in a perjury trap by the FBI/DOJ. Obama's corrupt FBI/DOJ. Yates, we found out, had no intention of working "for" Trump when she accepted being a holdover. Because of her duplicity...and her stupidity...she got herself fired. (you know...one of those bad people Trump hired and fired).

You'll forgive me, I'm sure, when I tell you that your spin don't cut it.

So how many chances did you think Pruitt needed after the first major offense?

Not my decision. I'm not the President.

Not my decision. I'm not the President.

ah so you're going to excuse his actions got it. So the real question is are you excusing his actions because he's "Your guy"?
