Fundraising Record; GOP is Energized!

That kind of money in an off year election, this early in the campaign season, is from rich donors.

Who want to protect their tax cuts.

The GOP won't be able to buy the 2018 midterms.

Americans have had enough of the habitual lying, the vindictive tweets, and the Congressional dysfunction.

Plus actual GOP candidates have been drawing squat for campaign funding. The GOP itself has always generated tons of cash from its rich Donor class. Really the candidates have to draw campaign funding for their campaigns. 435 battles eats up a party treasury pretty quickly if the candidates have not been drawing funding for their own campaigns.

Good point.

The grapes are probably sour, too. :lamo

Hardly. The GOP far outspent the Dem opponent in Ohio and only won by one percentage point in a predominately republican district. That doesn't bode well for the GOP come November with lesser republican districts up for grabs.

In the November election, the Democrats has out raised the Republicans, and received low level donations. If you are willing to donate your willing to vote in the General Election. So who will get the most money to win the election; is it a 10 plus term congressman or someone as a freshman congressman.

Yep! (Who could have seen this? LOL!)

The fund’s donors include the casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, who has given $30 million, and whose company, Las Vegas Sands, reported a nearly $700 million windfall from the tax law earlier this year; Timothy Mellon, chairman and majority owner of Pan Am Systems, a privately held collection of companies that includes rail, aviation and marketing services, who has contributed $24 million; Valero Services, a Texas oil refining company that reported a $1.9 billion benefit from tax cuts in the first quarter, and which has given $1.5 million; and a collection of other corporations, executives and financial fund managers.

The money has been pouring in. The GOP is set to steamroller Democrats in every close race. It'll be another 2016 tear-fest for Dems.

Jeb outraised trump by quite a bit as well during the 2016 primaries. HRC then outraised trump in the general. You've got to look at the polls to see how likely voters will vote my friend. Money helps, but if we've learned anything it's far from the whole story.

Money seems to help a lot less than it used to....I am not convinced that all this money spent on Madison Ave TV commercials matters much at all for instance....It seems to have become background noise.

The campaign geniuses are still trying to find their way in the Post Trump Era.

How does this post jibe? The link is Fox News and the picture is CBS............

All you have to do is click the link and look at the video to see that CBS is the source. News organizations will cite other news organizations as their source not only as a courtesy, but also because of copyright laws. I cropped out the Fox News logo so that leftists would not simply dismiss the information.

I agree. i dont think money is the measure this year. The Ohio seat saw 150,000 fewer votes for the republican candidate in 2018 than it did in 2016. Thats why it was close. The truth is, while there is still significant support for Trump among republicans, there is very little support for their GOP members of congress.

Yeah, I wonder why that is.

But but but, what about all that Russian meddling and gerrymandering? How on Earth can Democrats do anything? Or, are you finally admitting that gerrymandering is nothing but an excuse when you lose and that the Russians did NOT change the 2016 election results?

If the GOP loses big then you will become very concerned with gerrymandering.

But wait! Trump said he's worried the Russians will effect the voting this fall to the benefit of the democrats! So they didn't effect the the 2016 election but they will this fall?
