Military Parade Cancelled

Because it wasn’t a dumb idea to anyone except people who hate Trump or the military or both[/QUOTEp

Its a dumb idea with the country still actually at war for one and its the theme of autocracy.....lets all line up and salute our hardware as it rolls past. Its not about troops...its never about troops.

I can see Corp Bone Spurs getting fitted for his new uni now. How do we do Corporal insignia in scrambled eggs?

Trump is a child and proven as such. Everyday is another day of childish, ignorant outburst...today commenting on the Manafort trial into a jury that is not sequestered. He does not even have the common decency for that. Then again Trump is not a decent man. But who cares....he's entertaining.

The only days that are not days of childish ignorant outburst are days when he keeps his big trap shut!

Something tells me that if Trump ignored the astronomical price and went forward with the parade anyway, the anti-Trump brigade would still be melting down...

Of course we would be pissed if Trump went through with his bad idea.

And of course we're gloating because Trump got smacked down on his bad idea.

Trump could have avoided this by not coming home from the French parade acting like a spoiled toddler -- "Mommy, I want one of those. Give me give me give me."

He could have avoided adding insult to injury with his stupid comment about how expensive the South Korean war games were when his stupid parade was going to cost as much.

There are so many ways Trump could have avoided earning derision. But instead he keeps bringing shame on the office of the presidency and his supporters keep making excuses for him.

So of course we're going to gloat when someone stands in the way of his toddler fantasies and he gets pouty about it.

Mute works well — so does last channel — I’m still on AM Network Radio on the Hour — Real news —

the by-line on Cable is still useful, especially the one on FOX on Mute — XMSirius is a serious upgrade in tech this Century —

My three overseas sources are awesome if you want to see just how much we’ve abrogated the Planet to the growing menaces again, Red China and the Soviet Union

My whole time on active duty was during the cold war, 66-86. It seemed to be over for good with leaders like Reagan and Gobachev, G.H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Yeltsin. Even Putin's first term, 2000-08 with G.W. Bush seem pretty decent. Least that I remember. So why all the antagonism during Putin's second term, 2012-present?

The expansion of NATO to Russia's borders may have had a lot to do with it. Remember Bush's and Gorbachev's agreement? If Gorbachev allowed the peaceful unification of Germany there would be no expansion of NATO past Germany's border? Long forgotten isn't it.

Red China or China these day's has always been a pain and always will be.

Only Cadet Boner Spurs Hates The Military, and now GOPutins.

Stop Lying about those who Have a Right to Hate the ACTIONS of this Criminally Insane Traitor.

Except to Add that Putin’s Renewed Soviet Expansion Started During Complacent Bush-43 with Georgia.

This Paved the way for Soviet Crimea Expansion, now Given Away by #45.

Of the 5 At-Risk Economies, only India is Safe from Red China and the Soviets. They have the Nukes, so Pakistan is Certainly a Problem there. India is Very Tight with Israel.

Turkey and Brazil will be gobbled up by Our two Historical Enemies, Red China and the USSR. Indonesia and South Africa are iffy.

I’ll send some new economic links when I figure out the links.

I get us-news but can’t link it yet.

We've reached and passed a point where the conversation has nothing to do with the OP and is now a circular argument. You don't need me for a circular argument. Have a nice day.

So I proved you wrong and now you run off? Well shoot that wasn't much of a challenge.

It was not a bad idea at all. Haters only say it was because Trump proposed it.

Nope, it’s not something AmeriCANs do just because little djt was impressed overseas doesn’t make it a good idea. Nothing to do with hate, except in your mind.

"Ohhhhhhhhh...they just hate our donald. Thats the whole problem in a nutshell. They just hate our Donald."

Ah-huh.....and what comes in nutshells???????

But not Willing to say Why ???

Because, as I've said other times this idiotic idea was talked about on the forum, it was an unnecessary dumb thing from the start that was a waste of time and resources for the military with little real benefit. The only benefit of such a thing would POSSIBLY be in a recruitment / public sentiment fashion, and with the politicization of it that benefit was basically non-existent. Even if it was still a legitimate benefit, it would still not likely justify the waste of time and resources to do it.

Not feeling like delving deeper into an explanation is the not the same as being "not willing"

‘Everyone’ Needs to be Doing the Correct Thing Right Now. This Parade Thing is just another Festering BOIL on this Rotting Carcus known as #45.

Pence is the Best President Ever Compared to this Most Dangerous Threat to Our National Security. I can’t Wait for the Normalcy from Vice-President Kasich.

I have Pledged Over and Over to not Go Personal on Pence/Kasich, as GOPs did for 16 years to Clinton and Obama.

I have Pledged my Best on the ISSUES, with the GOP completely bereft and impotent on ISSUES at this PMA — Present Moment of Awareness.

An*F-22 is $150 million. Doesn't change your point outside the % of one of those.

I can say the parade was unnecessary to begin with, but if $92 million was available for parts to the existing aircraft, that would be great.*Otherwise I know there's tons of things that money could beused for and hopefully not to line some govt pockets

I've never talked to a single member of any armed service who was interested in marching in a parade.

We are the richest country ever BECAUSE of our military power. I can also mention the 15% that some of that (I'm not saying all) choose to stay in poverty. Communities without drinking water is first a community issue for money, then state, then federal. If federal money is needed something went terribly wrong. They should be helping as that is supposed to be their citizens. I also hope that you understand "arming other nations" has not been limited to either side of the aisle (I think you did know that). Our poor still get treated better than most around the world and there are systems in place to help if utilized correctly.

I agree with the mass incarcerations being ran issue including private prisons.
