The issue isn't me Rob. The issues are how to deal with these (gay) men who became priest just to get next to teen boys. The clergy today along with the catholic church is going to suffer.
 
The abuse cited in this report occurred before 2000 if I read correctly. I think the crisis is mostly behind us as gays who hid in the priesthood in the 60s and 70s are no longer around. Plus, Benedict came out with a statement some years ago - not sure if it became official policy - that if you are gay you should probably stay away from the priesthood. Not really fair but when the safety of kids is concerned you have to step on some toes.

No. Read the report, I'm 158 pages into it, this stuff is still going on, up to today.

You will be sickened by what is in the report.

I've read the highlights and some of it reflects true evil. I don't remember where I saw the pre-2000 statement. I don't doubt that abuse is happening today...but I think *most* of the abuse in the report is from years ago.

Actually, this is all in the report, along with the stuff the diocese knew about. Read the f'ing report, learn something, it has all the actual confidential reports that the diocese and bishops knew about.

I wish those who are still Catholic would be outraged and demand that the priests, bishops, cardinals and the pope's that covered up for these crimes are thrown in jail.

When my sons mother decided to take my son to her church, which is Catholic, I told her at no time is my son to ever be alone with either a priest or a nun.

These people are not to be trusted at all.

People that live against human nature cannot be trusted with children.

So far it has worked out. He has never been alone with either of them.

Rob...now you know better than that. It's wrong all the way around. majority of them like teen boys.They get excited watching them dressed in altar clothing.
There is a part which I heard from my girlfriend called "offertory". The hands of priest are wash. Imagine a (gay) priest secretly getting excited when the water hits his hands. Obviously he can't grab the alter server nor himself for pleasure. Signs such as this are reasons to attack and sexually assault the young boy. The priest isn't attracted to girls why you ask ? He's gay.
 
Glad the Pope has stepped up to the plate and denounce the sexual misconduct. Now in Pittsburgh there is a outcry in having the local Bishop and Cardinal step down as they are accuse of a cover up. Looks like the altar boys night out is over.
