WTF is going on with Elon Musk??? He is trying his hand at Swampys Twitter Tactics.

  • He attacks critics head on.
  • He attacks the media
  • His tweets get him in PR and Legal trouble.

During the cave rescue, he called the British Diver who was critical of Musk's submarine photo-op, a pedophile with no evidence. He's also attacked people going against Tesla or Tesla stock.

He has attacked the entire media business model and once promised to fix it himself. He wants to create a site where the public can vote on the truthiness of articles.

He tweeted out an outrageous business idea about taking Tesla private at $420. No business analyst or legal professional can figure out where he got that number from, if he has the funding, or why he would even do this in the first place. It screams of market manipulation, just like what John McAfee did with cryptocurrencies. So he's being sued for it!

Actually it was quite the brilliant move on him to "talk" about going public. His stock has risen and all he has to do is keep mentioning "going private" every few months and it will make stockholders quite happy.

Well, sure, but it might not be legal to do that.

What a preposterous notion! Since when and in what mental midget's minds did the verity of anything depend on what any quantity of people think about it? Truth is existential and whether someone, anyone, no one or everyone think X or Y be true has no bearing on whether either be so.

While knowing what quantity of folks think a thing so is of some measure -- it tells us how many people are either ignorant of the fact, intransigent or just plain stupid -- the notion of offering folks a vote on specific articles is little other than indulging in novelty and curiosity.

Musk is not talking about going public. He is talking about taking what is already publicly traded back to a private company. That is at least a smarmy move...maybe the most smarmy business move, right out there in public view I have ever seen. Not going to waste my time looking for a specific SEC violation.

In addition, the company appears to be failing. Pretty far into his auto development and that does not appear to be going well. Musk recently asked vendors to give the company rebates on product he already purchased in order to help him survive. Then he goes on to talk about doing something that would require $60m at a minimum to buy up all the stock and take it private again. He might be willing to do it. Talking about it with a publicly traded stock is as I said at least smarmy as all get out. What he is doing now makes Zuckerburg and his nonsense look like child's play.

Who would "they" be?

Second:
Notwithstanding who "they" are, what has your comment to do with mine?

  • [*=1]I remarked neutrally on the nature of verity, noted one thing that is not among its determinants, and the absurdity of the notion of voting on an article's verity.
[*=1]You remarked derisively upon specific set of people and their mindset/comportment.
I don't care that you wrote what you wrote. I'm curious to know why you made the remark in response to and quoting mine for it has nothing to do with the subjects (bold blue text) of my remarks. (There's not even an implied "they" among the subjects of my comments. Elon Musk, not "they" is who posited the notion upon which I remarked.)

I guess those analysts and legal eagles aren't pot smokers.
