Why Congress have a high criminal rate?

Members of Congress are 435 people in the House and 100 members in the Senate. Still, if I take 535 people with a college education, are in the one percent in wealth -- the odds of them being arrested or being investigated for a crime should be at zero. They may do petty crimes like the rest of the Americans citizens, like steeling pens at a doctors office or speeding down the highway. When it comes to Congress, the crimes made deal with making more money above the laws they impose onto themselves. Or, it is some sex scandal and the cover-up that follows.

We get the government we deserve; unfortunately, they probably ‘represent’ us closer than we care to admit........
 
Power corrupts.... always. Give more power to the state, the more corrupt it will be.

It's the whole point of checks and balances, the founders knew power corrupts.... and the idea is to have several factions eternally grid-locking each other on that power.

If it is just about power, then your willing to allow people to suffer just to cash in a $1,000 a plate fund raising dinner. People will always suffer, but we organize ourselves to make our own society to fail in the long run as long as the top of the food chain stays in power.

Oh please don't be a drama queen... it's not going to be 1,000$ per plate... and there are many different food options than oranges lol.

What you seem to prefer is to have a caste system of illegals to work all the ****ty jobs so you can have the average citizen eat their cheap apples and oranges.


Your position here also reveals your contradiction on minimum wage.... because that is exactly what happens in a raised minimum wage.... either they hire less people or prices are raised.
