I'd say it's even worse than just bad news. It's Armageddon.

The playing field -- as it so often is in a midterm election with one party in control of all the levers of power in Washington -- is clearly tilted toward Democrats, and will be this November. The question that needs to come into better focus is how tilted.

And that's where the result in Ohio can be instructive -- in judging the size of the coming Democratic wave. According to the Cook Political Report's House editor David Wasserman, there are 68 Republican-held seats that perform less well for the GOP at the presidential level than the 12th. That tells you a lot about where things stand -- and why Balderson's apparent eking out of a victory isn't any reason to celebrate for Republicans.

There's another reason, too: Outside conservative groups dumped millions of dollars into this seat to save Balderson, a spending plan they simply won't be able to repeat around the country.

That's not a Blue Wave; it's a Tsunami.

And, things are only getting worse for the GOP. Last night's revelations in the secret tape recording of Devin Nunes and the earlier indictment of Chris Collins are certainly not going to help any of those numbers.

Now is not Nov.

Keep your powder dry....

Funny....the Right saw it as a victory. Who'd a thunk?

What's even better is the total defeat of all the extreme Leftist candidates.

lol...the votes have not even yet all been counted.

You are probably setting yourselves up for failure again. So I would just wait for definite news if I where you.

We had to sit though tons of people who were on the anti-Trump bandwagon yelling and cheering that Hillary was going to win and Trump wasn't going to get any kind of notable lead... only for those dreams to become dashed and we had to sit through three weeks of Twitter being a burning swamp of salt and it wasn't just Trump's posting that was the cause.

1) How many of the currently republicant House seats are you predicting will become demorat House seats in 2019?

2) How many of the currently republicant Senate seats are you predicting will become demorat Senate seats in 2019?

Yep, yet you are asserting that this unknown single House district (special?) election outcome has some special significance.

The article is making the assertion, with stats backing it up. I just happen to agree with it. We have a +11 GOP district suddenly becoming a too close to call two days after the election. Feel free to ignore the significance of that.

Nice dodge. Coming closer to winning an election is still a second (last?) place finish.

lol...barometer tells me your crew will be coming in lots of seconds come November.

Provisional ballots? Why were they "provisional.

a provisional ballot is used to record a vote when there are questions about a given voter's eligibility.

Have that worked that out yet?

Yeah, voter suppression is very popular in RW leaning districts.

lol...barometer tells me your crew will be coming in lots of seconds come November.

Yet you still won't predict what 'lots' means. Whether the party for a bigger federal government or the party for a huge federal government holds the congressional majority makes little difference to 'my crew'.

Nonsense about "bigger and huge govt":

Lots: 68 GOP seats are in serious jeopardy.

Revel in your confidence today, because you will not win tomorrow.

Be sure to prepare your excuses, remember that the following have been used already: Russia, The Green Party, Bernie Bros, Racists, Bots

The question is. Are there enough people who aren't bigoted douchey assholes who can sway the election? Forget about seats, campaign money, ads, issues, red vs blue, GOP VS Dems, Liberals VS Conservatives. Mr. Swampy represents a large portion of the population that isn't counted. They feel disenfranchised by the republicrats and swamp creatures alike. The mentality that anybody is better than the establishment has been growing since 2008 probably longer than that. Mr. Swampy has only heightened that, and that's why he is untouchable to scandal (despite his experience in the matter). They will REFUSE to look into Mr. Swampy, because to many he represents a new wave of change. They don't really care what he does, as long as he keeps feeding them those talking points. And I'm not just talking about the Cult members.

I've said it before. When it comes to staying with or leaving a Party that promotes scapegoating Blacks, Muslims, Mexicans, Gays, outspoken Women, "Lee-ah-bruls," or anyone else they can't see thinking exactly like them, coupled with endless lies, blatant corruption, porn star adulterous sex, hush money and whatever the hell it is that really went on between Republicans and the Russians, I'd think the choice would be obvious.

But, apparently, for many it is not.

588 uncounted votes were found in a Columbus suburb polling place according to the Franklin County Board of Elections.

Just look at all the people who think there is an inherent liberal media bias and once reputable news organizations should not be believed now. Despite the fact that we know all this stuff due to the free press. Millions refuse to look or to believe.

Absolutely so. Its been a heavily republican district for decades, the GOP spent millions defending this seat. and both Trump and Pence came to give speeches. Yet, after all that the seat may be lost to the democrats
