In a day when reckless extramarital sexual activity is manifesting itself in our staggering rates of illegitimacy and divorce, now more than ever, America needs to be able to look to her First Family as role models of all that we have been and can be again.

If the President does not resign, the Republican Congress must impeach him even if it costs them their majority because the laws of this republic charge them with the duty to so act. Absent an uncharacteristic act of selflessness by the President, it is left to the Republicans to live up to their label and defend the laws and institutions of this Republic.

Throughout our history, we have seen the presidency as the repository of all of our highest hopes and ideals and values. To demand less is to do an injustice to the blood that bought our freedoms.

Strong guess current VP Pence during the Clinton admin when it was found he got a BJ and lied about it

Pence like Cruz, has no spine and no morals

A perfect candidate for the modern Republican party

Bingo, we have a winner and that didn't take long.

He also said that Trump's affairs are his business and his business alone.

Orin Hatch is another treasure trove of outlandish hypocrisy.

I'm sorry that you feel you need Trump as a role model to help keep your "reckless extramarital sexual activity" in check, but I assure you that most people don't.

I hope this brings you some needed comfort over the state of this great nation.

Personally I think most establishment politicians are that.

Maybe republicans more so, or perhaps they just get caught more.

I agree 100%. But, too many spineless repubs in Congress & Senate, it's a pale shadow of it's former self. Sad.

You'll just have to vote for dems in Nov if you want any hope of impeachment. I know, just hold your nose and do it, for the country.

Perhaps a reread is required

The op was a quote from VP Pence about Clinton. Not written by pedestrian

Surely you don’t want us to list the democrats for you, both sides get caught at it.

Like I have written, the dems have their problems but since Reagan, the repubs are real pros at corruption, hypocrisy and personal denigration.

The list of repubs is a long one...and getting longer as we type. The repubs are leading that race by quite a margin.

"Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they're sure trying to do so, it's going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them.

The religious factions that are growing throughout our land are NOT using their religious clout with WISDOM. I'm frankly sick and tired of the political preachers across this country telling me as a citizen that if I want to be a moral person, I must believe in 'A,' 'B,' 'C,' and 'D.' Just who do they think they are?... I will fight them every step of the way if they try to dictate their moral convictions to all Americans in the name of "conservatism."

Just what is needed to be said...again today.
