I predict Trump will be primaried in 2020

Trump is the master of hype, liar-in-chief, declaring photo ops as some kind of historical victory. He is like cotton candy, looks good from a distance until you bite into it to discover there is nothing there but a sticky residue. he has accomplished nothing.

You've been conned.

Nice back away.

Accomplished nothing? Are we in a better place with ISIS than two years previous? Unemployment numbers better? Stock market higher? GDP better? North Korea better?

I dont think youve been totally conned, youre just fooling yourself (its one of the signs)...and hey, I always enjoyed cotton candy...why quit now?

But the flip side of that "stability" is that it won't rise, and it will need to.

Reagan's rating was a bit higher, actually, at this juncture.

Reagans approval was a tiny hair higher at this point, obama barely better than reagan at this point, so trump started out low but has also remained stable where other administrations were on a tumble.

There is no flexibility with Trump and his base, and he's squandered the very small margin he won by, the undecideds, the wishy washy, the independents who were sitting on the fence and decided to go with him because they thought he would be "better" than Hillary. They now see him in his true colors, and they won't come back, especially the dems that didn't want Hillary who voted for him in the rust belt states that put him over the top, he's weak there, and that's why he won't win in 2020

I would, but you won't be able to read it given that your head is up your ass.

From your sig line:

""I did nothing wrong" --- Donald Trump

"I am not a crook" --- Richard Nixon"

You should probably add:

"What magic wand do you have?" --- Barrack Obama

He said this when Trump was making the outlandish promises about increasing manufacturing jobs.

Obama had absolutely no idea what Trump was talking about. He thought it must be magic.

Then Trump took office and my, oh, my! Look what happened:

https://www.cnsnews.com/news/articl...nufacturing-jobs-18000-may-322000-under-trump
<snip>
(CNSNews.com) - Manufacturing jobs in the United States increased by 18,000 in the month of May and have now climbed by 322,000 since President Donald Trump took office, according to new employment data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
<snip>

It's almost like Obama was the guy who was put in charge who sadly didn't have a freaking clue what his job was or how to get it done.

When he was replaced by by a guy who knows what he's doing, what Obama thought was impossible started happening.

Even with my head up my ass, I can see what's actually happening.

This seems to be an ability you lack...

Hardly. With your head up your butt, you can only see caca.

There is a word, often it's meaning is not understood. The word is insidious. The word means alluring initially,
but once involved, it becomes apparent that you are ensnared in something that is evil from which you cannot, at the time you finally understand what is going on, you cannot extricate yourself. Trump and Trumpism is, indeed, an insidious phenomenon.
But, we can extricate ourselves if we dems get out and vote in November. I do thank Trump for waking dems up ( finally ).

So first let's dispell your job numbers. This graph reveals the last 16 months of Obama's job stats to Trump's first 16 months.

Clearly we can see things are not improving. Rich people are recieving the real benefits, middle class got a few crumbs and some think this is a good thing, but they are not seeing the larger picture. Also, it takes more than a few months to muck up an upwardly mobile economy, which is what Trump inherited. Trump's pervasive tariffs will have, by the end of Trump's term, it's detrimental effect, so any numbers currently are too soon to judge. ( BTW, GNP numbers are not correct, see, you got to measure it from fiscal years, so that would take out the -5% deficit that Obama inherited from a REPUBLICAN and reversed shortly after his fiscal year began - fiscal years start and end in Sept. Measured that way, it's a lot higher than 1.9%, and Trump's lower. Plus the fact that obama GNP exceeded 3% some 8 times ( it was at least 5, I think it was 8, I have to check but right wing reportage on this is disingenuous and not honest).

Here are two clips you should watch, they are only a couple of minutes each, this is what you are missing about Donald Trump, and why he needs to be removed from office.

Although voter approval ratings hover just below 40% in key states which is pretty bad those that wish him to be reelected is right around 30% and lower in the key swing States according to the latest NBC Marist poll.

Therefore, I predict he will be primaried and the likely candidate will be Kasich

Lets just hope the Newseum contributors are just as accurate as they were in 2016 when they pretty much all predicted a Hillary win by a landslide. :)

She won the popular vote, predictions came true, but no one foresaw the electoral college fluke.

MSNBC?

Couldn't you find any links from the DNC?

I understand the BLS maintains a web site as well.

Did it occur to you to check that site?

If Trump is still in office, a primary challenge will be unsuccessful given the make up of the Republican primary voters.

That's my fear. If someone primaried him and was willing to really attack Trump on his lies and occasional immoral behavior, they might make a lot of headway with reasonable republicans. Also a lot of independents who voted in the primaries for Trump may decide to not vote or to vote in the democrat primary or to vote for the person that they don't perceive to be "crazy".

Kasich is sane. He won't do any better in a GOP primary than he did the last time.

Face it - Trump's base would die rather than oppose anything Trump says or does.

Very true, but we don't really know how big Trump's base is. Many republicans do not support Trump. If it was just a two person primary, that might work against Trump. Or if there was a three person primary, with the third person trying to "out-trump Trump", picking up some of the most racist/nationalist or ultra-conservative voters, then Trump may be in trouble. Especially if the Koch bros decided to back the reasonable person. If one out of five Trumpers could be siphoned away by the "trumper than Trump" candidate, and if reasonable republicans and swing voters voted for the reasonable republican, then Trump may not get the nomination.

Sadly, I am now convinced that Trumpkins make up a clear majority of the Republican Party. The lunatics have indeed taken over the asylum.... at least that particular asylum.

Just regarding Trump's base - I don't think this is only about ideas. What's left of his base seems to be a literal cult of personality. Anyone who tries to syphon Trump's base will fail unless Trump himself anoints them as the Chosen One to succeed him.

The Source on the jobs is the Bureau of Labor Statistics

Hmm...

The TV screen looked like it was from MSNBC.

Was it in the BLS Break Room?

The data Source was BLS. it's in the lower left hand corner of the graphic. Though reportage is MSNBC, because it's referenced source is BLS, its verifiable.

Terrific.

All of leads to one, inescapable FACT:

There are more Americans working right now at the highest average wage rate ever with a lower unemployment rate for minorities and women than at any point in the record.

Did MSNBC present that as well?

The BLS stats were reported, they show that Obama's last 16 months better than Trump's first 16 months indicating a light slow down in jobs

Fair enough.

Either way, the guy who produced the all time record "bests" is the guy who's producing those all time record "bests" right now.

This is far cry from the prediction offered by Paul Krugman:

"So we are very probably looking at a global recession, with no end in sight. I suppose we could get lucky somehow. But on economics, as on everything else, a terrible thing has just happened."
