Whoopi Goldberg and Jeanine Pirro get into explosive argument backstage at ‘The View’

you say you don't care yet you carefully crafted this thread about it all

why should we believe your lies?
Yes I created this thread because it's an example of the hypocrisy of the left. I don't care that Goldberg flipped out. Her meltdown means nothing to me.

I don't know how anybody watches that hen fest. Or Pirro. Ugh.

Brava, Whoopi, Brava.

yes, you care ...........

Nope, she'd be compared to Bill O'Reilly and congratulated, because that's how Bill-O ran his show, calling people "pinhead" and hanging up on them.
As far as I know he never told anyone FU and to get the F out the building. Which BTW I'm not sure she has that authority. JP was an invited guest by the producers who was there to promote her book.

If the roles were reversed and Goldberg was the guest on Pirros show and Pirro treated her the same way, we would be seeing a huge outcry to fire Pirro. Yet I don't see anybody demanding Goldberg be fired.

Me, I don't really care. I think it was in poor taste and unprofessional. It's one of many reasons I am not part of their audience. However they are free to behave any way they choose.

However it's also why I ignore the lefts outcry to fire people who say things they don't like. They have no moral standing when they remain silent about stuff like this.

Your link says that Jennine Pirro started it and was looking for a fight. She was trolling Goldberg. From the OP....

"...“When Jeanine arrived on set she was looking for a fight and refusing to be on with Ana, demanding [Ana] not be in the segment,” an insider said. “[Pirro] was yelling at [‘The View’] executive producer and her staff like, ‘You need to handle this.’” ....

Navaro did appear in Pirro’s segments, and things came to a head on the ABC show when the “Justice with Judge Jeanine” host accused left-wing Goldberg of having “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Goldberg responded of Trump, “I have never seen anybody whip up such hate.”

A shouting match started with Pirro declaring, “You know what’s horrible? When people who shouldn’t be here end up murdering the children of American citizens!” and Goldberg shot back, “What is horrible is when the president of the United States whips up people to beat the hell out of people … Say goodbye. I’m done!”

Goldberg left the stage, but the fireworks went off again with the cameras off: Backstage when the two crossed paths,...

Jeanine could have walked by her. There was one more segment to do. She could have walked by her easily, [instead] she put her finger in her face and said, ‘I’ve done more for abused women than you will ever do’ and that’s when Whoopi said, ‘You and I have never had a problem,’ before everything else was said....but still, ‘F–k you, get the f–k out of this building.’ Jeanine looked stunned.”..."

If a guest behaved badly in my house...I'd kick them out, too.

My point is that nobody is calling for Goldberg to be fired. The network has not even suspended her. I see no reason the right should care when they offend the left when the left certainly isn't concerned about who they insult.

Sorry, I missed your point which is a very good one btw. If Goldberg were an invited guest on Pirro's show, and this all went down the way it did on The View, you know damn well Pirro would be labeled an old white racist conservative, and CNN or MSNBC would be ginning up their mindless sycophantic viewers for days.

Oh, more of that fun Argument By Hypothetical.

Do you think they will admit their double standard.
Nope but I'm not looking for validation from them either. I posted it as an example of the hypocrisy that exists. I'm not foolish enough to think it's going break them all of the denial they live in.

I don't believe I've cared ever about that. Most usually, conservative (fox) interviewers are rude and uncivil. In ridiculous extremes of course one can call for a boycott, which may or may not be successful. Maybe the lying Pirro should try to get a boycott going against the View....lol. that oughta be good.
Good for you that you don't care. No adult should, at least not to the point to demanding someone be fired for it.

It wasn't to long ago that the left tried to get Ingraham fired because they didn't like what she said about a parkland student.

Pirro is an old white racist conservative. Your point is another mindless, sycophantic example of BS.

Two completely despicable women behaving badly. Whoop-dee-do. I can't stand either of 'em. Why is this silly celebrity cat fight even worth a thread?

Yeah I can't say I'm a fan of either. They screech too much for my tastes.

Yes I read that too and I'm not defending her part in that but if you watch the clip you can see for yourself who attacked who and they article cites a witnesses account that backs up pirrios claim

Once again even more proof, if you are black, you can say what ever you want, even be racist and not a care is given because all of these thin skinned left wingers are afraid to hold people accountable, unless its trump ofcourse, then we blame him for everything.

Such a shame, the amount of trash that this show has produced in terms of division on a day by day basis in this country is insane, just spewing pure crap about the president over and over, no matter what he does, good or bad their "view" is always the same.

Do not misunderstand me. When "news" people such as Ingraham abuse their position to slander citizens, people are well within their rights to call for boycotts of her sponsors.

That is not being "rude" and is not synonymous with the View situation.

Oh, more of that fun Argument By Hypothetical.
Except their are examples of the left getting people fired for having opinions they don't like

The fight itself isn't worth a thread but the lack of reaction from the left is thread worthy

Do you distinguish a difference between Ingrahams show and the view. I see them as both essentially opinion shows.

Ah, there we have it. This is a "gotcha" thread for forum lefties; if they don't line up to condemn Whoopie (because unlike silly me, they saw the title and scrolled on by) then you can say, "Lefties don't react! Gotcha!"

Seriously, get a life.

There are many examples of the right doing the same thing....especially in the WH.

I'm not really a regular viewer but I do check out certain clips every now and then.
My issue with that show isn't that it's a hen-fest (nice misogynistic statement!) but the fact that it's not moderated better.
They talk over each other too much, so you wind up not getting very much out of it.

---Okay I just watched the segment AND read the article, and you're being just a teensy bit disingenuous.
First, the producers are ABC/Disney, but more importantly, with Barbara Walters gone, this is Whoopi's show.
It gets the ratings it gets because: Whoopi.
So much for your musings about Whoopi's authority.

Second, the blow-up didn't go out over the air, it went off backstage, so the over the air audience didn't get to see it.

Third, please don't make me post the blooper tapes with all of Bill-O's "greatest hits", of which "****-it, we'll do it LIVE!!!" is just the appetizer.
Okay? Just admit that you agree that Bill-O's stock in trade was his belligerence and his fondness for cutting people off and dismissing them, it's what he was famous for and everyone knows it, everyone who's not in denial.

Fourth, talk about "who's authority", Jeannine Pirro does not have the authority to demand that Ana Navarro not be allowed on stage, because it is not the Judge Jeannine Show, it's The View and if Whoopi and the producers feel that Ana belongs there, Jeannine has two choices, deal with it or not show up to promote her book.

Fifth, stick your comment about the hypocrisy of the Left where the Sun doesn't shine because Jeannine Pirro launched into a filibuster and thought she was going to get away with it. She's not used to being challenged. She refused to even answer a simple question by Ana Navarro, a conservative!
Let her show up on Bill Maher and let's see how this goes, because whatever you say about Maher, one thing you can't say is that he's unfair to conservatives. He bends over BACKWARDS to get conservatives on his show but I bet fifty bucks that if Jeannine sat down on his show, she'd be in tears in five minutes, and if Ana was there (and she is a frequent guest) it would be in two minutes.

There wasn't any hypocrisy, there was Whoopi who wasn't going to take Pirro's ****, that's all and nothing more.
I bet Pirro won't have the guts to bring Whoopi on her show.
I keep hearing about how conservatives are such tough guys...how come some of the biggest megaphones in your media universe won't venture outside their safe little bubbles, and when they do, they start making demands about who they'll tolerate sitting next to?
Ana Navarro's question was valid, it was polite, it was even HONEST, and it was Pirro who acted like a petulant child.
