I see this crap all the time now... What will happen if an NFL player kneels, or why cant they protest, this and that non stop on all the channels, its so frustrating trying to watch a simple game or listen to some sports news yet constantly feel like you are watching Fox or Cnn....

What makes this even worse is that there are people and SPORTS news personal that defend these actions and support them, of players kneeling during the national anthem, which is shameful regardless of what reason you are doing it for.
I dont comprehend why NFL, team owners, and president Trump are being blamed for these protest that should not be allowed in the work place to begin with.... I dont see free the nipple movement workers protesting in the middle mcdonalds during their shift.... I dont think i would keep my job if i start protesting in the middle of my work space.... yet because you are black i guess these days they are allowed to get away with anything now... Including constant race baiting

That's funny, I'm so sick of sports, especially football, crowding out more important aspects of life like education, and political progress, and activities that don't give kids (concsussions, bad knees, broken bones, etc., etc.)

I agree, that I don't want politics mixed with my sports but I don't care what happens during the anthem. I never sit there and watch during the anthem. I wonder if you and your family stand during the anthem at home. You're the one making a big deal about. The game goes on. They don't kneel after every touchdown.

May I remind you also of Mohammad Ali who refused to fight in Vietnam and was stripped of his boxing license because of it. He was hated by White America for it.

Kaepernick used to just sit and not stand during the anthem. It was a veteran who suggested to him that he should kneel to at least show respect. So Kaepernick is showing respect. And his uncles are cops. I bet you never took the time to listen to what he's protesting about.

Regardless, if you disagree with him, what does it cost you to ignore him? Why would a few men kneeling before a game ruin your fun?

Trump supporter position on the issue: The players are disrespecting the troops and the flag by kneeling. They should be grateful that they get to live in this country and play football in the NFL. Also, there are no police departments where systematic racism exists. As Trump claims, these players are sons of bitches that should be fired if they don't wise up and appreciate what side their bread is buttered on.

Reasonable people with an IQ of over 60 position: The players are raising awareness of the pervasive, systematic racism that obviously exists in many police departments. There is both documented and video proof of this. They are grateful the be Americans and have the opportunity to peacefully show their solidarity against this cancer. Trump is using the issue only to further divide this Nation. He realizes it's red meat for his base to gobble up.

That's about it in a nutshell.

Yeah, actually, that's pretty much bull****.

1) Insisting on "civility" is another way of saying "let's keep the status quo," when the status quo is precisely what the protestors want to change. I.e. it's just another way of saying "don't protest."

2) The players aren't disrupting the game. They aren't spitting on flags, or giving uniformed soldiers the finger. They aren't leaving the field. They aren't scratching their balls during the anthem. Heck, it wasn't even that long ago that they did not play the anthem before games at all.

All they're doing is kneeling. You have to be absurdly oversensitive in order to classify that as "disrespectful."

3) Those "spoiled athletes?" Y'know, the ones who are risking permanent brain damage to entertain you? Yeah, thing is, that even they get harassed and treated like ****. Well, that is, if their skin is brown.

i'm sick of sports "invading" good programs, and have been since i was ten and ball throwing preempted Ripley's Believe it or Not. Jack Palance was better than a concussion back then, and he still is. as for the tantrums about taking a knee, meh.

I do think the only protests at any work place should be work related. Not about something that doesn't have a thing to do with work. In this case, football. I couldn't get away with protesting anything at work unless it had to do with the job. I would venture to say that 99% of all other couldn't either.

My grand pappy used to say there is a time and a place for everything. Protesting something non-work related should be done outside of work, at a rally, march, demonstration, etc.

As far as to whom is to blame, Kap started it. Other players then jumped on the Kap bandwagon, followed by Trump sticking his big nose into something he should have left well alone. Then this developed into a big whoopie do along partisan lines, naturally.

Whatever sparked Kap to protest to begin with has long been lost into what is now seen as a feud between Trump and the NFL players and other sportscasters. Because of this, Kap lost. Now who is going to win the battle of NFL players vs. Trump, who knows. Who cares? Everyone involved are idiots as far as I'm concerned.
