WASHINGTON — Two weeks before his inauguration, Donald J. Trump was shown highly classified intelligence indicating that President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia had personally ordered complex cyberattacks to sway the 2016 American election.

The evidence included texts and emails from Russian military officers and information gleaned from a top-secret source close to Mr. Putin, who had described to the C.I.A. how the Kremlin decided to execute its campaign of hacking and disinformation.

Mr. Trump sounded grudgingly convinced, according to several people who attended the intelligence briefing. But ever since, Mr. Trump has tried to cloud the very clear findings that he received on Jan. 6, 2017, which his own intelligence leaders have unanimously endorsed

The shifting narrative underscores the degree to which Mr. Trump regularly picks and chooses intelligence to suit his political purposes. That has never been more clear than this week.

On Wednesday, when a reporter asked, “Is Russia still targeting the U.S.?” Mr. Trump shot back, “No” — directly contradicting statements made only days earlier by his director of national intelligence, Dan Coats, who was sitting a few chairs away in the Cabinet Room. (The White House later said he was responding to a different question.)

So on January 6th, Trump as President-Elect, was shown official Russian communications that proved Putin had personally ordered the hacking and interference campaign that aimed to elect Trump over Clinton. And yet still all these public denials undercutting our FBI and our Intelligence Agencies and Mueller's investigation while knowing what the truth was this entire time. Accessory after fact?

Wow, so it wasn't just the last 6 months or so that Trump has been disagreeing with the U.S. and siding with Putin, it's been before his inauguration?

Golly gee. I thought his supporters have been saying it was just a gaffe! I faux pas! A "poor performance"? He messed up a double negative?
Yes, Trump has been betraying the U.S. since before he took his oath, and every day after. I'm not surprised. I am surprised at the denials of his base though. Co-conspirators I suppose we should call.

Guess that tosses the ignorance defense right out the window. Also against that backdrop the President indicating that he actually considering turning over a former US Ambassador to Russia for questioning by Putin's thugs all the more alarming and disturbing. So let's add aiding and abetting as well.

LMAO I love how Spies just suddenly became the most trusted profession in the United States all of a sudden.

And all it took was for Trump to get elected...

"Really appreciate President Trump’s interview with @CBSEveningNews where he clearly states that he holds Putin accountable for interfering in our 2016 election and is committed to changing their behavior so that we may have a better relationship in the future."

The only viable solution is to vote all Democrat this November. There is no help to be found in elected Republicans.

Spies are now far more trustworthy than republicans in America.

So Trump was fed US Intel then and has been ****ting on US intelligence personnel ever since with lies. What a ****ing traitor. He and his sheep backers.

Well go ahead and keep on laughing then because your President has decided to side with the spies from the other side. So sleep well.

Oh no. He didn't trust our spies; the ones who are consistently lying to the general public and public officials. Why on earth won't he do that?

That's because America is full of idiots. The most competent, qualified politician in American history loses to a buffoon, cover it up with Russian Election Meddling and expect the general popular to believe it... LMAO...

Because Trump doesn't know any better. All he knows how to do is lie.

All spies know how to do is lie. It's literally in their job description. It's akin to trusting a known gangster.

But suddenly, they're on the forces of good this time because "muh democracy."

Well then if Trump wasn't otherwise such an idiot then I guess by your definition he would make a great spy then.

Yeah, I'm sure you had nothing to do with it. LMAO!

That goes without saying and i would suppose the inverse of that would be true for you.

Yeah, he probably would. He is a great media manipulator and personality influencer. Look how ape-**** he has all of you behaving LMAO...

I suppose if non-voters are responsible for unfavorable election outcomes, then sure. That rhetoric only makes sense if you're prepared to blame automobile accidents and people who don't drive. LMAO

Not sure what message that photo is supposed to portray; white people are idiots? That's not racist at all...

Trump has a large portion of the uneducated vote. He also had a decent portion of the educated vote. Either way, the left has lost to a complete buffoon, so I'm not sure what that makes the left.

Ahhh I see the Repubs are back on Trump’s teat. That didn’t take long. Graham is useless.

The bungee effect from "Deeply troubled" to "Trump's da man!" was so predictable it finally became boring. And you saw that bounce happen not today but yesterday, the day after trump's public betrayal of the United States on Monday.

They'll eventually learn to just not react at all as they've slowly realized their own base, no matter what, doesn't give any ****s, he could have stood up there and literally said that he's handing over Alaska to Russia and his supporters would go "Yeah but Alaskas just a waste of space anyway and like, hardly anyone lives there!".

And when liberals say "wtf," they'd be "I thought you libtards didn't like Sarah Palin!"

Trump has a large portion of the uneducated vote.

Clearly a VERY large portion including you.
