Defending Trump in Russia, Mark Levin Gives Leftists a History Lesson

I don't see the issue for trying to improve relations with Russia. Yea, Putin is a monster. Russia is a gangster state. But, it's better for everyone we get along and find ways where both countries can mutually benefit from each other.

Russia has always tried to mettle in USA politics.... always... this isn't new. All the polititians have to do is not have private servers with classified material on them, and improve their network and database security(I assure you it's absolutely terrible, even now in hindsight of everything). And there are so many crypt-walkers in Washington who don't know how to use a computer that are easy game for hackers.

And with the meme's, alt-right and organizing black lives matter rallies Russia was involved in... we can handle that... the general public should stop defending such things like alt right and BLM anyway.

I think there is some real progress that could be made with Russia. If it were up to me, I'd try to start appeal to all the Russian oligarch's and billionaires... or start threatening them.... that it is in their best interest to open Russia up to the world and deescalate their ****. Make it about money....

Oh it is about money, you have that part partially correct. However, its Russian loans to Trump that spur his bending over for Vlad in Helsinki.

This is correct. There is reason that McCarthism caught on so badly.
Then there is the communist manafesto that one senator read to the floor of congress.

yep going after their money bank will give leverage.
Russia is highly dependent on it's oil exports.

Feel free to show how Mr. Levin is wrong.

When I get some time, I would be happy to.

In the meantime, if you want to offer one salient point you think he is correct on, offer it, and I'll debate that one.

I don't have time to refute an entire video, not right now, maybe next week.

I look forward to, but I bet it doesn't happen. Be sure and give me a heads up.

If Democrats did it, Democrats applaud it.
If Republicans did far less, Democrats savage them.
Mark Levin explains, from FDR through Obama:

False Equivalence Fallacy

FDR and Stalin is not the same as Trump and Putin.

Even Obama and Putin is different from Trump and Putin because a lot has transpired and been discovered in the past 2 years.

You can't defend Trump's actions in today's context so you create these false equivalence arguments. You have to defend Trump's actions today and in today's context. You can't divert to some past situation with is not identical to the current.

Proof, please?

His entire argument is based on a faulty line of historical reasoning. He attempts to twist the facts to reach his own preferred outcome--- the defense of Trump--- while ignoring the "inconvenient" facts and the context of the information.

Ok...support your claim. Just saying "he's wrong" doesn't mean jack****.

The whining about FDR, for instance. Unlike Trump, FDR was dealing with the most colossal evil powers in human history, which had attacked a slightly less evil power, but one whose extent of brutality nobody really understood yet. Arguing that "waa! Democrats get special treatment!" and using FDR as an example shows a great deal of historical ignorance.
