Today, after reading a few threads, I had A Tiffany.
You know, a sudden realization Tiffany is whispering something to you profound.

We are still bickering about an election that was over in November 2016.

Just imagine the fun and frolic that will be going on two months before the election of 2020?
I hope i am still here to see it.

Are there any remote cabin rentals i can abide in from September 2020 until November?

I was not a member during the election in 2016, but lurked occasionally and all the fur flying everywhere made me duck out, dim the lights and play some classical music.
Imagine what 2020 will be like.

Would anyone like to make book right now on
...how many examples of Godwin's Law will be thrown around.
...how many RACE CARDS will be littering the floor after being thrown around willy-nilly
...how many threads will get flushed
...how many infractions will be issued

I vote now we make a fund to pay the MODS a fixed amount for all the crap they will have to endure and deal with during that period.
If nothing else, we should issue them Certificates of Appreciation.

How did your wife feel about you having Tiffany?

I expect DP to be a cesspool during the run up to the 2020 elections. I would not be surprised to see a huge number of members get banned or just plain quit DP due to how nasty it will get

I am with you. i expect maybe some new rules or something. otherwise it will be a huge public brawl.

I fully expect the Democrats to disappoint by failing to come together for 2020, but even so I have a hard time imagining we'd elect Trump again.

It really is like watching a movie where whoever wrote the screenplay lacked imagination,
the responses become predictable and formulaic.
When I see this in Movies, I tell my wife, "it's like it writes itself!"

Donald Trump is STILL whining like a little 8 year old about an election THAT HE WON.

Trump was even whining about the election that HE WON yesterday in Helsinki.

Trump is the 'sorest winner' I HAVE ever heard of, or read about, in my entire life.

For being a 'winner' Trump really is a POS loser.

How in Hell can someone 'win' and still be bitching about 'winning' 20 months later?

I can not even imagine how each primary will go.
Or the general election once it is down to two major characters.

The OP has a better point than he realises.

Clint Watts is arguing that the dirty tricks the Russians pulled on us, will also be done by Americans. Which basically will take the volume on the amp from 10 to 20.

it is shaping up to be about the same.
The democratic party really have no one to run that isn't a loon.

while it would be unusual for a republican to run against the current president it is a possibility.
trump might not get a free pass to the general election. he might face a primary.

I doubt she will run in 2020 but i see Nicki Haley mounting a presidential run in 2024.
She is smart, accurate and quick on the draw.

Would vote for her in a heart beat.

I have no concept of it either.
My skin color got me nothing positive or negative in life.
Of course, you can perceive it helped me, but you were not there and do not know.
I can tell you for a fact it did not.

Every failure and success was all mine and mine alone....plus some good & bad luck thrown in.

I am white and can understand white privilege.

Getting jobs in the private sector, much easier for whites in north America. It has been documented and shown that whites will get calls for interviews and hired at a higher rate than non whites.

Just being in public. It has been shown that in the US and in parts of Canada the chances of just being stopped by police for stop and frisk, carding etc are much higher for blacks, latinos etc than for whites.

I can add later as I need to leave for work right now
