Former President Barack Obama gave his first major speech since leaving office on Tuesday, calling today’s times “strange and uncertain” and urging people to bring back the values of “equality, dignity and kindness.”

“Each day’s news cycle bringing more head-spinning and disturbing headlines,” Obama said in the opening of his speech at the 2018 Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture in Johannesburg, South Africa.

These days “we see much of the world threatening to return to a more dangerous, more brutal way of business,” Obama said.

I think it is worse that he is making this speech in South Africa of all places, a country that is quickly degenerating into a racist Zimbabwe-style kleptocracy.

Most don't look as ridiculous as Trump, but it's still bad taste.
 
Incredibly gifted speech by a REAL POTUS, as Moscow Mitch McConnellism remains the clearest and most present danger to OUR NATION, in every aspect of our already GREAT country that mcmitch and Asbestos Don are indeed turning into the USSA.

The Iran deal was working perfectly as planned until Trump ****ed it up.

Trump has no let Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin play him like a fiddle in front of the whole world.

I think it's fine. It's surprising to me that Obama has been so restrained given the mountain of garbage Trump has been spewing about him for years.

But it is my style. Guys do a number of things that were once only done by gals. I don't like a lot of them.

Yes, Trump supporters should feel shame for defending a man who attacks POWs and the family of a war hero while fawning all over Putin.

How is Russia better than Iran? I don't remember Iran annexing any countries.

You're OK with Trump making peace with Russia but not Obama making peace with Iran?

Trump trashed the Iran deal but we still don't know what the result will be. If Iran gets nothing from the Europeans who are willing to keep the deal, they'll just return to making nukes. So, Trump has no Iran deal or NK deal. You can complain about the Iran deal but has Trump made anything better?

And if you have a problem with Obama making deal with Iran, why are you OK with Trump making a deal with NK?

Internationally, Trump is a complete disaster.
