How much does Trump need to suck-up to Putin, hear him trash his own and discredit his won counmrty befopre Repubs start speaking out?!?

Is 30% of his base still sucking up to Trump? And how far will they accept that racist in the WH? Or is his supporters still in denial?!?

Republicans are a real threat to our country mow...

I'd like to know exactly how many traitorous actions he needs to take, or how much he needs to suck-up to our enemy before Republicans start waking up?!????

Do they believe everything that Putin says? Do they still have any loyalty to their own country?

Lust like FDR Trump is a traitor to his class, as I have been pointing out since Dec 2015.

GO TRUMP GO!

Absolutely.

If by "his class" you mean "the United States of America," you're absolutely right.

FDR knew that people matter more than social class.
If that made FDR a traitor to his class, we should have had way more class traitors.

Trump knows he matters more than everyone else. He can't be a traitor unless he betrays himself, because he cares about nothing else.

Which includes the country, his class, and everything else.

Which is why he signed up to serve forfeiting much of his wealth and putting himself up for constant abuse by nearly the entire leadership class....

And folks talk about how Trump supporters lack reasoning ability!

He didn't forfeit a damn thing.

It'll still be there, and probably bigger for all the advertising he gives it on our dime, when he leaves office.

Abuse by "the leadership class" (and why the **** do we have such a thing?) strengthens his position.

I'm sure they're really pissed about the massive tax cuts they got.

Going to be interesting hearing what the Republicans in Congress will have to say now.

I just heard Sen. Paul talk about everything other than the treacherous opprobrium of Trump's undermining the U.S.

And have you noticed that it's taken all day and the best they've got is to simply ignore the matter. You know what Republicans are doing right now? Praying for a terrorist attack, a mass shooting, or just about anything that will draw attention away from Trump's having into Hell-sinked-he.

"Traitor" isn't a word to be tossed cheaply around. The accusation of treason is grave and not, in my opinion, appropriate at this time. The sycophantic Gingrich has called this the worst blunder of the Trump Presidency, and perhaps it is, but it should be discussed gravely rather than hysterically.

What presidential performance in history could better be described using that word than the disgrace the world witnessed today?

Trump continues to behave like a man being blackmailed by Putin. Why? That's the problem that we must consider soberly.

I think Trump should be removed from office.

That is absolutely bat**** insane. He gave up no wealth whatsoever and has been profiting off the presidency from day one.

WTF are you going on about?

And why, for the love of God, the Congressional GOP won't disabuse the nation of the disaster that is Trump is beyond me. Pence is every a conservative and he's evangelical. It's not as though policy is going to change with him in the WH instead of Trump.

Trump hasn't given up a red cent. In fact, he's using his position to enhance his wealth, not only by changing the tax code to dramatically reduce his own taxes, but by using the office to highlight his properties... like he just did at his (money-losing) golf course in Scotland.

As to abuse: Every President, and most federal elected officials, get that treatment. Anyone who runs for office and thinks they will become the beloved of the entire nation is flat-out insane.

If you support him today, then that's just about the only explanation I can imagine.

I mean, really. He threw the entire US intelligence establishment under the bus, solely because Putin said "forcefully" that Russia didn't interfere in the US election. He blamed the US for Russia's misbehavior -- I wonder if that included assassinating people in the UK? Even Republican elected officials realized that Trump's performance at the press conference was an utter disaster, an incoherent mess that embarrassed the entire nation.

This is the man you're defending:

Two possibilities: they are terrorfied of his base supporters turning on them in a Republican primary, or they are some how complicit.

I have heard many Republicans go on record today denouncing the Liar-In-Chief. What channel have you been watching?

Numerous Republican elected officials did show a bit of spine today. They know that this trip was a disaster, and the press conference was a series of epic unforced errors. Even Fox News let a few negative things slip, even as they pump up Putin.

That said:

• Trump gave them tax cuts and a couple of SCOTUS judges.
• Republicans have decided that they desperately need Trump's core
• There is no way to dump him without damaging the Party, so they won't do it unless Trump becomes an immediate existential threat to the party
• The Right Wing Echo Chamber usually makes sure that people on the right don't hear any genuinely damaging things, or if it must be discussed, they turn it into an attack on the left

I try to avoid dramatic claims, and I don’t think we can confidently say that Trump is consciously subversive.

But know this; Trump is a coward and a born fool.

And his ardent apologists are worse.

Oh, and now it's in all of Presidential history, eh? "Disgrace," maybe. But as I've said, I'm not comfortable calling ANY President a traitor based on this press conference.
