The Freedom Caucus leader hired a PR firm to help him manage the media furor.

Embattled conservative Rep. Jim Jordan is stepping up his efforts to fight accusations that he ignored sexual abuse decades ago, allegations that threaten to tarnish his reputation and undermine his standing in Congress.

The Ohio Republican’s allies — from lawmakers on Capitol Hill to former wrestlers at Ohio State University — have released statements of support or gone on TV defending Jordan’s character. He has also hired a conservative-leaning public relations firm to help him deal with the media furor, Shirley & Banister Public Affairs.

Poor baby wants to be Speaker so bad he can taste it. And now he's had to hire a P.R. firm to rescue his nuts from the fire? Start counting the days before he resigns.

Jordan could do the 'right thing' and resign but we know he won't, because he has a certain set of values only Republicans have; ZERO values .......

There is no "sex abuse firestorm," except the one the MSM is stirring up intentionally.

Facts:

1. There are no allegations that Jordan engaged in any sexual abuse.

2. There is ONE allegation he was told of an "incident" where even the "victim" admits all the doctor did was pull his underwear down. (Doctors had a tendency to either ask you to, or to do that themselves during many types of examinations).

3. All the rest (so far) claim it was just "common knowledge" from joking about it in the locker room.

4. The actual alleged abuser killed himself back in 2005...13 years ago. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/richard-strauss-ohio-state-doctor-accused-of-groping-men-for-years/

5. Michigan State recently settled a lawsuit over an abusive sports doctor to the tune of $500,000,000. https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/16/us/larry-nassar-michigan-state-settlement/index.html

6. The person accusing Jordan of "knowing" also filed the complaint that started a similar Ohio State investigation stating he was "encouraged by the courage of the Michigan State victims." https://abc6onyourside.com/news/loc...uct-investigation-of-former-wrestling-trainer

Now if the MSM would report honestly... OH! What am I thinking? :doh

Well since we KNOW they want ratings and oppose Jordan's politics, they WON'T report it honestly...I assert that the facts don't show any sexual abuse on the part of Mr. Jordan.

But there are allegations that he had knowledge of sexual abuse yet did nothing. That makes him just as guilty as the perp doctor.

Nope, allegations do not make anyone guilty - just ask Hillary.

Well, just say it looks really bad for a future Speaker to be involved with sexual abuse.

It also looks really bad to accuse the dead and others that should (could?) have known decades after the fact.

I'd modify this to say "allegations do not make anyone guilty - just ask anyone who knows the law." ;)

The OSU investigation into the decades old sexual abuse allegations of a (dead since 2005) sports program doctor began this year. Shouldn't we give them time (say at least 4 to 20 years?) before jumping to any conclusions?

So let me see if I understand this issue... In all the years this allegedly went on, there were hundreds of athletes, dozens of coaching staff, and God knows how many others, none of which came forward... Yet this abuse was supposed to be common knowledge?

How many others on the coaching staff though the years are being accused of knowing about the abuse and remaining silent?
How many on the coaching staff though the years came forward and reported the abuse?
How many on the coaching staff though the years claimed to have known the abuse was going on?
How many on the coaching staff though the years, were told by an athlete about the abuse when it was happening?

My point is to justify your attacks on Jordan, you would also have to be accusing hundreds of others of also knowing about the abuse and saying nothing... Is that what you are doing?

.

It looks like Jim Jordan is going to survive his scandal of ignoring sexual abuse complaints because there isn't an election happening right now. The GOP has decided at this point to simply ignore all scandals associated with Republicans. We'll see how that works for them in November.
