GLASGOW, Scotland (Reuters) - If U.S. President Donald Trump was inclined to be tentative when raising election meddling with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, the indictment of 12 Russian intelligence officers with hacking in 2016 has made that approach a much harder sell.

A federal grand jury on Friday alleged that officers of Russia’s military intelligence agency, the GRU, secretly monitored computers and stole data from the campaign of Trump’s former rival, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Now kinda hard to just shrug it off as 's**t happens'.

Risky defintion #233: Cynic /ˈsɪnɪk/

noun

1. Someone who has seen this **** happen many times before.

Trump will attempt to find a way to fit the Russian investigation, including the recent indictment of 12 Russian military intelligence officers, into the imaginary world that is his reality. He will downplay Russia's attempt to influence the US election to help Trump become president. He will ignore it as he has always done. Trump fans and The Swamp Party will follow Trump's lead. We are already seeing that.

Trump will proclaim his meeting with Putin to have been a huge success. Trump will express his love and respect for Putin. Trump will proclaim the dawning of a wonderful US - Russia partnership in peace and prosperity. In short, Trump will say much the same things he said after meeting with Kim. We've seen it all before. We know the script. Trump fans and the Swamp Party will swoon and profess their support for Putin and Russia.

The Trump - Putin meeting in Helsinki will result in more of the same, only worse. The future will be more dangerous for the US and Europe.
