GOP thinks bashing tech companies will rally base

Yeah you give your usual insight...

But to answer your post about controlling media access it seems the Trump organization wants to control the access to information and discredit any source that dare criticize him or his administration (never mind a YUGE number of them have been unmasked, indicted, or forced to resign amid so much scandal)

but let's not dwell on our President trying to regulate the news media and calling it the enemy of the people... :peace

Youve shown youve no clue what Damore was actually attempting...so read up, bro. I am embarrassed FOR you.

Trump, like most intelligent humans, especially Americans, wpdont want one sided nearly totally fake news regarding the outlandish hoax your side continues to perpetrate on America. I think when all said and done there should be a YUGE class action lawsuit in favor of the American public against these media companies, tech companies and the DNC for fousting this enervating lie upon our entire system.

Sue these liars out of existence and use the billions, if not triilions, gained as seed money for honest, self identifed as to bias tech companies as well as modern bias identified reporting media from across the spectrum as start ups...

Which of those indicted has been for collusion by Trump or the campaign. Oh, none you say? Oh, witch hunt you dont say... problem is the American people have caught on...walk away, just walk away...:lamo

There is clear evidence of bias by major tech companies. Google has forced employees to take progressive-backed "diversity and bias training". They have commonly prioritized liberal-leaning media outlets over conservative-leaning media outlets and commonly demonetize conservative creators on their video sharing platform, YouTube. Facebook and Twitter have purged many conservative accounts and push agendas such as LGBTQ+ activism, feminism and net neutrality to name a few examples. As a computer science major myself I do realize that the industry does need to take accountability for their bias and work to create an unbiased experienced for consumers.

maybe Twitter should purge Trump's Twitter feed; that would offer everyone a break from the Trump**** ...........

Sure. Since they are a left-wing tech company, they should be totally honest about their bias, don't you think?

You can also get a break from Trump by not going on his Twitter page, problem solved.
As for that signature:

-Mexico will pay through tariffs, remittances, or other trade measure, as Trump stated multiple times.
-18 months and no evidence of Trump collusion, can't even pin Trump on obstruction of justice. Best they got is some lower level staffers.
-Wars are good economically and the US has won virtually every war it we fought. Although Trump never advocated for war and in fact railed against it.
-MAWA: you just know that's BS

More alternate facts, imagine how surprised I'm not....

Most intelligent Americans proofread their posts, try it you may like it...

I welcome YUGE lawsuits, let's see if frivolous gets attached... but let's not gloss over Trump calling the media an enemy of the people... intelligent people see that as disgusting.

Did I say anything about the Russian investigation... Pruitt isn't part of that now is he??? But good ol General Flynn after calls to lock her up in now flipping to try and keep from getting locked up himself... Let the process work itself out before declaring no collusion... :peace

18 months and no collusion has been found. It then focused on obstruction of justice (outside the jurisdiction of the case) and then Stormy Daniels (no one's business but Trump). Now the special counsel has conceded Trump isn't a target of the investigation anymore.

In truth, the special counsel has said VIRTUALLY NOTHING. Your argument is self delusional fantasy.

Yeah they're tyring for obstruction of justice now after the collusion was a dead end. Cohen was raided in reference to Stormy Daniels. Both of which are outside the scope of the case.

And the counsel did say Trump was not a criminal target:

Really?

Asked about the Post story, Trump lawyer Jay Sekulow said: "We do not discuss real or alleged conversations between our legal team and the Office of Special Counsel."

They will not discuss it with NPR as a legal matter, but it was leaked to the Post yeah.

No...problem not solved. Not when the multimedia echo chamber splashes everything Trump says on Twitter across the print, airwave and digital world. The only way to fully take a break from Trump's twitter is by isolating oneself from all media.

If the bias is real than conservatives have every right to push back against it. Even in your linked article nowhere do they make the case that there a bias does not exist.

There is nothing illegal about it but there is also nothing wrong with making people aware of what many would call an unethical practice.

With as many ex-Obama and ex-Hillary staffers that are said to occupy senior positions at Facebook, there may very well be reason to be concerned. These are the same people who's brought us 'By any means necessary', and we've seen how the Facebook platform can be or might be used to sway public opinion, overtly or covertly support particular political campaigns with demographic data beyond the campaign's wildest dreams.

The same type demographic 'big' data is collected by all the big tech companies, Google, Microsoft, Twitter, et. al. The same is for the huge server farms that the NSA is running.

It is a very powerful capability, to have all this data and the means with which to sift, sort, filter and analyze it, looking for patterns and connections, which can be used for good or it can be used for bad.

I just quoted part of it to you so who are we to take seriously?

Not you, because you didn't quote any part of it. There are over 11 parts in the memo, and none of it implies that women are biologically less capable for engineering.

back in the mid 80's my wife was the only female in her IT shop, the bias from her male coworkers was thick. Those geeks and nerds thought a woman programmer was against the laws of nature. I'm sure Damore has a myriad of 'reasons' why women's biology works against them (no doubt like a female President the Monthly will cause irrational behavior)

But fact is her biology didn't stop her from being in charge of one of Northup Grumman's HP3000 computers... :peace

The only thing I got from this meaningless personal anecdote is that you're older than me, and somehow you have the literacy of an eleven-year-old. Perhaps English is your second language; I may never know.

Regardless, Damore never mentioned that women can't be computer software engineers.

Alt facts, that what you folks are labeling the truth nowadays, eh?

I do proof my posts, sufficient to my purposes. You need to concentrate on trying to find a winning argument. Difference is, mine are purposeful mistakes, yours are plainly shallow end flailings. Drowning in the shallow end, how humiliating, yano?

Wrong again, read up bro. He called Fake News Americas biggest enemy. Unless you yourself are calling all media fake news, are ya?

Let what, a fake news, fake investigation play out for what, 6 and a half more years? Pfffffttttt. There wont even be a democrat party still in existence.

There is a class action lawsuit against Google suing on the grounds that it is discriminating against White males and Conservatives...

Do you think this "idea" that that tech companies are bias against Conservatives came from nowhere?

Actually, that lawsuit got dismissed in February, saying that Google had the legal right to fire him. Do keep up with the information.

Trump is the one who tried to block the AT&T/Time Warner merger- too big, too big... is he a socialist as well??? :peace

No, he had a prejudice against it, since AT&T owns cnn.

For some on the rabid right facts have little to do with their 'logic'- this is just another case showing there is noooo justice for a white conservative man in the activist court system. (If they are really on a tear they throw in something about unelected lawyers in robes).... :peace

Not quite. You see, those entities are not tech companies that control the flow of expression of thought and information. Those entities are media organizations that present their own expression of thought and information. Apples and oranges.

Think of it this way...

Those media organizations present their bias to you. You have the choice to expose yourself or not.

The likes of FB, Twitter, Google and others tout themselves as platforms in which anyone can express their own thoughts, opinion, data, etc. People have the same choice to expose themselves to that stuff or not. But when the platform puts their thumb on it and suppressed people they don't like they are now using their power for their own purposes. Now instead of saying, "You can express your thoughts, opinion and data on our platform.", they are saying, "You can express your thoughts, opinion and data on our platform...but only if we approve of it."

Now...those tech companies are private companies. There is no law against what they are doing. It's up to the people to use them or not. But those tech companies shouldn't expect to have it both ways. They can't say they are free and open, while suppressing expression they don't like.

And then this article...it spins the issue. It makes it sound like the objections are motivated by something it's not.

Yet when I search for Conservative news or pages on Facebook I get thousands of hits? Seems to me that someone is lying about that bias. Twitter and google get the same type of results.

This all really sounds like far right propaganda to me. But hey knock yourself out drinking the koolaid.
