The Truth Triggers you doesn't it. He must have hit close to home, meaning you are exactly who he was talking about.

Yep. You wont be seeing rebuttal.

At least 2 billion folks worldwide would unquestionably be better off living in the USA (working or not) than staying where they now live. The (lofty?) idea that whoever shows up at our border can simply sign our national 'guest book' (like his great grandparents did?) and become legal residents and (perhaps eventually) US citizens makes no sense at all. He is not just another loon in favor of open borders - nope, he is for allowing the word's poor to sign the 'guest book' as they enter the USA (whenever they might decide to) with their dreams of marrying his daughter(s).

Say, you dont happen to work in the higher levels of one our esteemed peter principled intel agencies, do you? They outrageously screw up the information gathering, analysis even worse, seem happy, proud descendants of ol wrong way Corrigan.

IOW, wrong...missing on almost all cylinders.

Your ancestors did it, are you going to move the **** out?

Nope, but I am going to suggest that we do have and keep reasonable limits on immigration. Pointing back to a time when we had vast areas of unsettled lands, a huge demand for folks that could (and would have to) make it on their own and no huge nanny state obligated to feed, clothe, house and provide them medical care is not exactly an apples to apples comparison. If you want to revert to the same immigration laws as 'way back then' then you should agree to revert to the same (small government) conditions as 'way back then'.

We still have vast areas of unsettled lands.

I don't have to agree to ****.

Sure.

One can easily see how off your analyses are and if that is how... well, lets just say that does account for a Clapper, a Comey, a Brennan, I guess. That those were the bumbling clueless Clouseaus in charge of protecting us for 8 years... scary, yeah.

No offense, I am sure they were giving it their most mediocre.

All just more ridiculous partisan bull****.

A lot longer than 8 years and were great when they suited you and you're still here so what they did must have worked.

Oh but now the great American partisan bull****ters rule the 39%.

A foreigner who comes here with 2 kids to work jobs that Americans won't, and pay taxes is crippling America.
But an American, unwed mother of 5 from various unemployed or unknown husbands, this is OK?
A hillbilly in the styx can sleep around, absentee father, maybe cook up some meth....this is better?

The drama about immigration is completely out of whack. There is a reason past Republicans presidents didn't do much differently than Democrats, because it wasn't/isn't a big deal.

Recent Brietbart styled Republican propaganda has effectively made a large portion of the population believe immigrants are an enemy that will (insert all sorts of insane bad things will happen to you and the nation). They then attack that enemy to gain political support. It's one of the oldest plays in the book. This in turn has also fueled the inevitable racism and bigotry that goes hand in hand with demonizing foreigners.

What are you on about? Make some sense, bro? Sounds like you must have been top brass in intel, too? Another Clouseau have we?

Speaking of which, what does walking on ants with steel toe work boots have in common with the Pink Panther theme, (since sense has no bearing any longer in the thread)...??

Dead ants dead ants, dead ants dead ants dead ants... :lamo

I will remind you, since you seem to have forgotten, trump is the top boss in Justice and the FBI, and has been for 2 Years, if there is such collusion and misconduct then why hasn't he fixed it. Do not give the excuse that he is trying, that does not float here. SO, what is the problem, can't he do his Job or is there not really any such BS really happening, which is it????

I am not demonizing anyone. I am simply pointing out that allowing uncontrolled immigration is not a wise policy. It is also a myth that immigrants (legal or not) largely take jobs that US citizens will not do. What these surplus laborers (added applicants) do is increase the demand for jobs (in many industries/trades) thereby lowering (or completely eliminating) any need to increase the wages/benefits offered in order to fill those jobs.

It isn't about immigrants and it isn't about race. It's about law and whether we are going to be a nation of laws or a nation of whims. If we want to bring in that foreigner with two kids to do jobs Americans won't do, then do it legally and above board. The difference between the unwed mother of 5 (that's another thread) and the immigrant is that one is an American citizen and one isn't and that is an important distinction. The second point is that we cannot be the world's caretaker. We simply cannot afford it no matter how much it might appeal on certain levels. In the end we'd be broke and have no country. We can be compassionate and uphold the law and be sensible. They can all go together.

Yep. Large numbers of illegal immigrants take jobs and drive down wages for those on the lowest rungs of the ladder. The working poor and near poor are the ones most harmed by illegal immigration.

Thousands of crimes go unenforced, and prosecuted, every day, all day. You're only up in arms about this because you were marketed to by the alt-right. Hiding behind some nonsensical notion of selective-zero-tolerance is a sign of absurdity.

Look, most of us have these things called brains, that store what we call memories, and we remember not too long ago when our friends and parents and other forum goers, had no care about immigrants other than mild annoyance at language barriers on phone calls. And with enough marketing, it's become this huge faux-issue for Trump supporters. The find the political topics that are like click-bait, a certain number of people just can't help themselves in believing it. So they push those buttons and watch you dance.

The marketing works, no doubt about it. Russia elects a president and corrupts the White House, and you're mad at mexicans at the border, I get it.

So, because some people get away with crimes, we shouldn't try to enforce immigration law. I have to hand it to you because that is one of the nuttier things I've seen in awhile. Also, the reason that immigration wasn't on the front burner until Trump is because everybody else operated with a wink and a nod. We wouldn't have 12 million illegal immigrants were that not the case. Trump has finally decided to get serious about it and that has given the left all sorts of opportunities to break out their racism cards. It's the expected reaction. Your argument for not enforcing the law is the imaginary racism of those trying to enforce it. The answer to that, if true, would be to get other people but your answer is to ignore the law instead.

Oh, and Russia didn't put Trump in the WH. You did. You did it with 8 years of Obama followed up by the worst nominee imaginable. Congratulations.

Not only that, but if you cannot reach those first rungs then you are highly unlikely to ever be able to climb to the higher rungs.

In a foolish attempt to fix this mess (actually just to help mask the effects) the "safety net" is being constantly enhanced to further reduce workers from having any chance of pressuring employers to increase their wage/benefit offers .

If a household requires $X/month to meet their living expenses then what portion of $X is obtained from a meager paycheck (to meet the 20 hours/week minimum work requirement) and what is added (or made unnecessary) by the "safety net" additions makes little (or no) difference so long as that $X is received and living expanses are met.

C'mon...Be specific man.

Is it just this thread or what? There has not been ANY collusion evidenced as yet... so kinda hard to clean up an invisible mess.

Misconduct? Again be specific. His hands are tied at DOJ, Secessions seceded from asserting command over his apparent de facto boss, smiling odd Rod Rosensteinks. Cant fire odd Rod either, the political reality, even tho the guy is obviously obstructing justice trying to run out the clock having nothing to lose ( and from his incongruously chipper attitude at the House hearing, I d guess a large amount moved into his Swiss styled bank account ) seeing as he will, if they cant get rid of Trump, eventually have to answer for his involvement in the Uranium One Scandal... which I am sure you are familiar with.

The Muel and Andrew "not a wise man" Weissmann are also deeply implicated... but the establishment has its hooks into enough Senators Trump will have to let it play out a bit longer. When U1 explodes, it ll all, ALL, come crumbling tumbling down. Hillbillary, Holder and even slenderman gots some 'splaining to do, playing loosey goosey with assigned National Security assets. CFIUS was not informed on all the corrupt shennanigans going on as they should well have been to stop the deal.

But again, you know all this having been a big wig in intel, right? Me? I am just a guy that keeps clued in from the outside peering in, shuffling sources, determining who is likely telling truth, corroborating, lining up the dots, trying to make good sense of it all.

Pretty damning when it all comes out. Unless we want the system to collapse with all knowing, understanding there is an at least two tiered justice system with normal everydays like myself held to the higher standard and the other not held to any standard at all.

That simply cannot be allowed or nobody will believe, nobody will abide...so, as a result many of these folks will be too big NOT to jail. Makes me happy.
