It says so in the link provided by me, I also state in post #3 that he worked as an anchor for ABC, not sure what else you need to know, but find it on your own if you desire, I don't work for you, and I doubt you can afford my time.

Would be nice to know what aspect one would like to discuss. The original faux pas, or the fact that the guy is leaving a year later. May me even the vetting of facts. Who knows, could be about exit doors.

The link says merely that the story "was not properly vetted". You know, sure of its sourcing the way Trump makes sure everything he says in public is absolutely sound.

I remember Ross as a solid reporter. I also remember that "Fake News" is a conspiracy theory, now about two years old. Right wingers believe it like they believe in THE DEEP STATE, another conspiracy theory about two years old. They believe in both like they believe in gravity or like five year olds believe in Santa Claus. This is the absurd benchmark from which our political discussion often proceeds.

No he spread a news fake news story that trump was going to be caught and basically that impeachment was going to happen.
that idiocy drove the stock market down 350 points in the few hours that he did that.

it later recovered when they found out that it was not true but the damage had already been done.
he cost people a ton of of money in those few hours and not just rich people.

he should have been fired. he pulled a dan rather 2.0 and is just now getting let go of.
We have proof in writing that members of the FBI were doing what they could to make trump lose the election.

all the way up to planting a spy in his campaign.

yet all the time ignoring the hillary campaign that not 1 once but 2 times conspired with russian operatives to get dirt on trump.
so where is that investigation? where is mueller sacking her offices etc ...

They didn't find out "it was not true". They found out the sourcing was inadequate to establish truth. We'll soon find out if it was true. In any case, it wasn't "Fake News". At worst it was sloppy reporting. Fake News is reporting to the country that Democrats are demanding 5,000 immigration judges when you know positively the number is less than ten percent of that.

Which means it wasn't true. It was fake it was a lie it was false. it isn't that hard to understand. The excuse well ti wasn't fully vetted is BS.

Well, you obviously don't understand it. You seem to have the conspiratorial mindset that so infects that Right. As a long time member of the mainstream press, I can tell you reporters most always try to get the story, but often it's not easy and sometimes they make mistakes. Trump and his flunkies have turned the free press into an "enemy of the state" in many minds, a phenomenon that is making them enemies of you and me whether you know it or not.

Yes you don't understand it.

If you run a story that you don't know is true then you are running a false story.
Making a mistake is maybe getting a name wrong putting a wrong date.

it isn't getting the entire friggen story wrong.
there are mistakes and then there are flat out dishonesty.

mistakes are tolerable they happen.
publishing this knowing that it wasn't correct knowing that it wasn't fully authorized
goes beyond a mistake.

No but when they are intentionally dishonest they should be held accountable for their actions.

I make mistakes in my job, but if i do something that is 100% unethical or disastrous then
well that is my job and i get fired.
