Indeed we truly are. Even if and when it does happen there will be the residual effect Trump's words and actions have had on our allies.

Trump has given them every reason not to trust his words and not to trust his commitments. They are right to believe that no matter what he says he may **** them again at any minute. They also rightly believe that at every turn, given the choice of standing by our allies or supporting Russia, he will act to strengthen Russia.

Agree 100%. I believe that the damage is done and will probably escalate more.Americas place in the world has changed across the board and it just needs to sink in for most Americans, once the job losses, higher prices, and scarcity of some products takes hold many will have their aw chit moment, too late.

If Putin could script this presidency he'd have Trump isolate the US by alienating it's allies and abandoning it's trade agreements. And he'd have him polarize American society by turning Americans against each other.
If Putin had his way, that's what Trump would do.

And Putin is definitely having his way.

It is interesting that now when you or I or anyone on DP questions or criticizes Putin or Russia, supporters of the Trump Party are quick to defend Russia. It is amazing. The propaganda, Trump's and Russia's, has been extremely affective.

If Obama had cozied up to Russia like that, the right wingers would have called him a Communist.

But, come to think of it, they did that anyway.
