Bolton: US has plan to dismantle NK nuclear program in year

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump’s national security adviser said Sunday the U.S. has a plan that would lead to the dismantling of North Korea’s nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs in a year.

John Bolton said top U.S. diplomat Mike Pompeo will be discussing that plan with North Korea in the near future. Bolton added that it would be to the North’s advantage to cooperate to see sanctions lifted quickly and aid from South Korea and Japan start to flow.

Bolton apparently was out the day the intelligence report that shows NK building up its nuke production was delivered. He should check with Kim on this plan.

Perhaps you missed the part of your quote in which Bolton talked about Pompeo discussing this plan with NK?

shrug...if Rocket Man wants to spend his limited resources building up what will be dismantled, that's his decision. If he's trying to jerk the US around, that's his decision, as well. I'm sure he knows that the sanctions remain in either case.
 
Mr. Bolton, supposedly the National Security Advisor to the President, has just revealed he doesn't know who the Prime Minister of Canada is, after all the President's attacks on Mr. Trudeau. I don't think the administration should rely on anything he says.
 
This was also one of the guys who said/thought the US would be welcomed in Iraq as liberators, so no long term occupation was needed...

I believe this is a case of two habitual liars having a summit where both believe lying and bombastic rhetoric are acceptable negotiating tactics. Bolton is just an ass hat playing on then sidelines, a sort of yappy little dog of no real import... :peace
