Jim Jordan Thinks You Can Subpoena Phone Calls

Jordan didn't say anyone can subpoena phone calls.
No, he directly asked if Rosenstein threatened to subpoena phone calls...in other words, he asked the Deputy Attorney General if he did something which is not possible. Jim Jordan is an idiot and Rosenstein made him look like an idiot.

Either way, Jordan wants Americans to think this is a serious indictment and many Americans are dumb enough to buy it.

Perhaps, but the general consensus coming out of that hearing seems to be that Jordan looked like the moron he is.

These are the kinds of morons representing us.

(Hilarity starts at 4:09)

He made a pure horse's ass out of himself today....hilarity.

That exchange was about two things. 1) Jim Jordan getting his face in the news, because he is one of the biggest media whores in Washington. 2) To do everything possible to give Trump a "legitimate" reason to fire Rosenstein, thus undermining the investigation into him.

Quite frankly, what Congressmen like Jim Jordan and Devin Nunes have done in these last several months is tantamount to obstruction of justice.

and they are coordinating with Trump to do it, so add conspiracy to that charge.

I disagree. That wasn't a lack of preparation. That was, as I said earlier, about getting his face on camera and undermining the Mueller probe.

That was the intent, but he got his ass handed to him just the same.

The whole point of an open session is to score political points. You really shouldn't make fun of others when standing in a glass house.

No, you don't throw stones in a glass house. You screwed up the metaphor. Subtract one cookie from your cookie jar.

And making fun of someone is throwing a stone. Did I really need to spell it out for you...

This was congress flying cover for djt. I watched the opening statements and the Wray - Rosenstein testimony, it was obvious partisan grandstanding.

I will say Rosenstein made a good showing, I had know idea he had that much self composure, intelligence and, obvious, backbone; well done! Overall he made the republicans look like bratty little children. I have much more confidence in how the Special Counsel Investigation is being managed now. Whatever the gop congress hopped to achieve, IMHO, the achieved the exact opposite.

Yes it is, but you left that part of the metaphor out of the metaphor, which is why I said "you screwed up the metaphor".

A half baked metaphor is a metaphor screwed up. You know the old saying, "if you are going to do something, do it right".

You're not paying attention.

What the hell are you talking about? :lamo

This is typical, nonsensical spin.

Jordan didn't say anyone can subpoena phone calls. He was reading what a news article...one that cited the usual "unnamed sources"...said. If nothing else, Jordan got Rosenstein to prove that the media pushes fake news.

The article he read was inaccurate. Why would he use an inaccurate article to bolster his point?

I'm talking about the fact that open sessions are intended for politicians to speak to the public. They are not actually for investigation or information gathering. All of that is done behind the scenes, where the most can be said. In an open session, Congresspeople are trying to get information to the public to persuade the public. It's all a bit of an act.

And please tell me what the glass house metaphor has to do with it.
