The latest polls show that 54% of the American voters blame the illegals, 35% blame the government and only a small %age of idiotic mindless twats blame the Trump administration. That probably has something to do with the inescapable reality of the previous administrations claims of being the Deporter in Chief so only a truly mindless partisan twat would blame enforcement of American immigration laws on Trump.

We need to send a powerful message so that these people do not come. Many of these people crossed the border, knowing that they would be separated but chose to come anyway. It's on them, not Trump.

If there were no illegals then there would be no crimes committed by illegals. The crime rate should be zero. However, I'm willing to propose a fair solution to the problem. We could deport all US citizens who commit serious crimes to Mexico instead of putting them in jail, or we could at least give the criminals that option at sentencing.
