Trump On the New Time Cover

His approval numbers as I have pointed out elsewhere...are way down.

His average approval numbers are actually rising.

They have risen from rock bottom to merely pathetic.

I like the result.

Rasmussen having Trump at only 46% is awesome.

You can take a good 5 points off Rasumssen just due to the weird way the hand tailor their polling sample.

Naaaaah, just evidence of your confirmation bias.

The more blatantly the left has to try to appeal to emotion, however false and disingenuous, the more they reek of desperation. They know the jig is up with the whole FBI-Mueller fiasco so they're pulling out their last stops.

More Trump bashing from another leftwing failing rag. Keep up the good work guys, Trump gets more support daily because people see the vitriolic hate behind the left's crusade which garners sympathy for the President. I hope you guys keep it up right to 2020. No need to even think about who you have to run against Trump. Get your hankies now so you'll be ready.
If one removes themself from the Trump-Republican bubble, you will see Trump's policy was overwhelmingly detested by the country as a whole. This Time cover accurately reflects American thought. By the content of your post, I'm not sure you realize this.

This article summarizes and contains several recent polls:

(538.com) Separating Families At The Border Is Really Unpopular

This article summarizes both the polls on deportation-separation specifically, and also Trump's recent fall this week in approval-disapproval ratings:

(CNN) Majority oppose policy that causes family separation, but Republicans approve

I think the numbers speak for themselves in not supporting you opinion, here.

Wasn't Trump pining to be on the cover of Time magazine recently?

lol...careful what you wish for.

IMO, this is a perfect illustration of what we are all facing.

Do you feel that child represents you?

What's the parents role in this? The parents show such miserable judgement to drag their small child thru extremely dangerous situations. They put their child in harms way from criminals who are involved with the smuggling of people and from the extreme temperatures that the desert provides in the summer time. And then they break our immigration laws! This is child abuse in the worst way. All the biased media can do is scream Trump.... We hate Trump!
Stop dragging your kids illegally across the border!!

If you actually used some common sense, you'd realize that you could answer your own questions by considering just one thing. How miserable one's lot must be in the country they are leaving.

Yes, it's that bad. Parents would rather risk the desert and other hazards than stay there. Maybe that is the one thing your side fails to understand.

Do you feel that child represents you?
More than the Trumpers realize it. That is for sure.

Do you honestly believe he is not going to **** you over?

Yet they (they being the MSM, Dems and other leftwingers) did not seem to detest it when Obama did it and put people in chain link detention cages. It looks like Republicans have been consistent. We know that both Obama and Trump were doing what the law required. The difference is that Trump doesn't simply want to wave people through and Obama did.

You all sound alike. crying about the same old crap day after day. Frankly it's getting old.

All the low class, crazy, outrageous stuff Trump does is getting old. It just doesn't stop. As soon as you think it just can't any lower class, crazier, or more outrageous, he surprises us. But I bet you are hoping that, like the frog in the pot of water on which you keep cranking up the temperature, we will get used to it all and stop talking about it and just get cooked.

Not gonna happen. This is not who we are. We are better than this. Way better. America will reclaim its integrity and respect. It's going to take a lot of work (probably way more than the 8 years it took to dig out from under Bush Jr's mess), but it will happen.

That Time cover accurately reflects the overwhelming disgust with Trump's separation policy in the greater body politic. But you would never know it within the Trump-GOP bubble. So obviously, we have a majority-minority disconnect. Sadly, you can't force Conservative-Trump-GOP media to accurately inform their constituents.

But if you'd like to scan the links in my post #29, you'll find the hard numbers that define the above phenomenon. Trump & his supporters embraced an extreme minority position, that failed spectacularly - as it deserved. The country rebelled, and he & his subsequently suffered a fall in approval-disapproval numbers.

Actually, I would opine the hit Trump & his both took in moral and ethical terms, may have longer lasting consequences than this specific instance. They really crossed quite a line this week.

I actually like the economy, don't you? I'm glad we're making progress with N. Korea, aren't you? What do you think he's going to do to harm me?

What a shame the Clinton's aren't back in charge, then we would really reclaim our integrity and respect!

Now that the separation is ended the Dems will rally around keeping the illegals here forever. I mean, since they were separated a few days they deserve to be let in, right? Imagine how all the poor slobs trying to come in legally must feel.

It's funny how the tea party always cried about the silent majority, and now that appears to be the democrats and the majority of the public. The WH is filled w/a bunch of trolls. They are the loudest voices in the room, but it does appear most people are sick of this already.

1. It's not ended.
2. They are already here.
3. Where are the girls?
4. When will they actually leave?

Well Swampy and Co haven't touched abortion...yet.

So, getting here is all that matters? You just get waved in with a welcome package, right? This was a big reason Trump won and Dems are doubling down.

No. This is essentially another false narrative. Made false, by matter of degree.

Obama had these problems to a lesser extant. Yes there was an opposition when the kids were piling-up at the border, in the wave occurring 2013-2014. This was carried in the media, as can be seen by the now well circulate picture of the kid in the cage in 2014.

But Obama did his best to temper his administration of the law with compassion. Trump changed Obama's policy to one having shockingly heinous ramifications. There is no equivalence here.

This article explores this well:

(ABC) Fact check: Did Obama administration separate families?

I gave you my links in post #29. They show irrefutable proof the Time cover is accurately reflecting the thought of the American people. I'm, not sure why you're beating a dead horse here, to your detriment.

So, getting here is all that matters? You just get waved in with a welcome package, right? This was a big reason Trump won and Dems are doubling down.

Did you purposely ignore my question in order to type w/e right wing talking point came out of your butt? (that's rhetorical)

I actually like the economy, don't you? I'm glad we're making progress with N. Korea, aren't you? What do you think he's going to do to harm me?

lol...if you haven't figured that out yet, not my problem.

As far as I am concerned though:

1. Inflation due to his stupid trade war nonsense, requiring two recent interest rate hikes
2. Creating unrest domestically
3. Creating instability with our allies
4. Diminishing US influence and respectability around the globe
5. Allowing democracy to dwindle while cozying up to dictators
6. Added $1T in debt with foolish tax cuts thus forcing more cuts in SS and Medicare
7. Caused oil process to skyrocket due to cutting Iranian oil out of the supply chain
8. Creating Tension with Canada and failing to find a reasonable solution with Mexico
9. Throwing children into concentration camps
10. Constant war on truth, making mendacity the norm
11. Stupid North Korea move
12 Stupider Russian moves
13. Money laundering
14. Nepotism
15. Cabinet filled with people opposed to the departments they head
16. Canceling war exercises with South Korea
17. Muslim Ban nonsense
18. Christian ass sucking nonsense
19. Incompetent judges nominated
20. Incompetent cabinet members nominated
21. Attacks on social institutions
22. Attacks on media
23. Attacks on veterans
24. Attacks on POWs
25. Mocking of disabled people
26. Felons on his campaign committee.
27. Felons in his family
28. Failure to release tax returns
29. Refusal to divest personal business while holding office
30. Cutting sweetheart deals with countries who give his children money

I could probably make it to 50 without too much effort.

Well Swampy and Co haven't touched abortion...yet.

They should. They can point out that the same "compassionate" types whining about the separation at the border also approve partial birth abortions. How upright and moral they are.

What a shame the Clinton's aren't back in charge, then we would really reclaim our integrity and respect!

I don't know what Hillary did wrong. But Bill had an affair. And he was impeached for it.

If you want to paint some kind of equivalence, when is Trump going to get impeached for his countless moral and ethical outrages?

So, getting here is all that matters? You just get waved in with a welcome package, right? This was a big reason Trump won and Dems are doubling down.

The welcome package of jobs from folks your side turns a blind eye to?

Boo hoo. Poor little Trump needs "sympathy"? For what? Being a liar without any empathy? He reversed his hateful policy because even his base was appalled by his cruelty. He won't be running in 2020 either.
