Democrats stop legislative fix to prevent the separation of families at the border

You have three different issues in your OP that are tied together by "Democrats". I'll address each separately.

1. Schumer. I don't think anyone is surprised about Schumer's rejection of any legislative fix. As he said, he wants to keep the focus on Trump, which means this whole issue is nothing more than an anti-Trump weapon to him. Of course, the other lock-step Senate Dems will march with him. But that means that the next issue...the House vote...is a dead issue. (btw, McConnell has gone on record saying the Senate won't be taking up any immigration bills this legislative session.)

2. The House. That article of yours doesn't really talk about what's actually in those two bills that'll be vote on today. This site breaks it down: Here’s what’s in the two House immigration bills that will be voted on today – The Right Scoop Nobody is actually taking these bills seriously...if one does win, it won't get past the Senate. This is nothing more than political posturing by Ryan and other House Representatives.

3. Lena Dunhem. Who? (Oh, I know who she is...I'm just wondering why anyone other than snowflake useful idiots cares about her?)

Correct, and the more conservative Bill already got voted down, with over 40 Repubs voting against it along with every Dem. Next up is the less Conservative Bill, we shall see if it fairs any better.
