No, I've acknowledged repeatedly that many of them were seeking asylum. That doesn't change the fact that seeking asylum was not the reason they were detained.

the ones who were seeking asylum were blocked from doing it the proper way. they were detained because of the stupid zero tolerance policy when they sought it the only way that they could.

I'd admit that we've lost the Drug War against Marijuana, and push states and localities to begin pursuing reform measures that emphasize successful re-entry into society. But that doesn't mean I would get rid of the prisons.... which means those families would still be separated. If, as we are now being told, children being separated from parents is, like, basically Just Like Hitler, well, I have more than a few questions for folks about how they seem to have just discovered this incredible truth.
